??? Then what the heck have you been smelling? The good vodka shouldn\'t smell like anything. That\'s part of the reason why models and society-types drink it. You don\'t taste anything bad (b/c you mix it with other stuff) and don\'t have any alcohol breath after so you don\'t end up smelling like a brewery.

You need to get your hands on some better stuff. Grey Goose, Stoli, heck, even Smirnoff is OK stuff.

I can\'t do vodka. I\'ve had the good stuff and it tastes like rubbing alcohol to me. It doesn\'t matter if it\'s Goose, Circo, or Stoli. The ONLY way I can drink it is if it\'s vodka and redbull. If I try to drink it any other way I\'ll puke almost immediately. The only thing that will make me want to puke faster is Sailor Jerry. That\'s only because I helped polish off an unopened fifth AFTER I had already blacked out.

My oldest brother is the same way with tequila; doesn\'t matter the brand. I have Don Julio and Patron Silver at home. I tried to get him to try both of them but the best I could get him to do was to smell them. That was enough to make him almost want to gag right there.

I pity you high rollers who HAVE to drink expensive shit to be okay...

It\'s all the same to me, and DEFINITELY not worth the ridiculous cost...sure Tanqueray tastes better than ass gin...but is it worth paying 3-5 times the price? That\'s a f$%k no.

I don\'t really drink enough at home for the cost to effect me. I do enjoy some good tequila though...

Yeah I feel ya. I\'ve been known to be a dirty boozehound from time to time, and if I were to drink good stuff, it would cost a ton. Nothin worse than having a night you hardly remember, and you drank $30-$50 worth of booze. I like to get nuts and keep the budget under $10.

Back when I drank all the time, I wouldn\'t have known the good stuff from the bad stuff. As things changed and I only drank on occasion, a good shit hangover definitely beats a bad shit hangover.

And also when you only go to the bar and have 1-4 drinks once a month... paying an extra $2.00 per drink isn\'t so bad.

Damn misconceptions! I spend $40 every 3 months on doob, never wanted to get anything better, never wanted to do it more often, never even thought about trying anything else. I know people who spend twice or thrice that in a night on booze.
