Spent my first pay check, and it feels good
Got a set of BFG Comp T/A\'s 245/45zr16\'s for 250
they have less then 500 miles on them, they are almost perfect. One had a nail, and was profesonially plugged by a ford dealer. I got such a great deal, I am wicked happy
guy had a 85 hatch mustang in Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords. Was mustang number 10 for the year. Ran 10.60 all motor on a 351w. He sold it and bought a 91 convt LX. It is BEAUTIFUL. Its cylipso green, white top, white leather interior. Has 11k original miles. BUILT a4 302 block, 347 stroker, supercharged, full road race suspension, road race cage, its amazing. He bought it for 14k, and the guy that sold him it had slips for over 70k in work.
God I wish I have that sorta money to throw around

Hope you aren\'t planning on putting those on your Lincoln. They are almost 2\" shorter than stock and not meant for a 7\" rim...

There was an article that I saw today that said you need to make 85k in NYC to be considered middle class if you live outside of Manhattan. If you lived in Manhattan it goes up to 123k a year.

He has 245/45 R16 tires, about 850 revolutions per mile vs 775 rpm for stock size tires. They also require a minimum 7.5\" wheel, 8\" optimum. I can put a size 13 shoe on my foot, tie the laces tight and still get around but it\'s not the best choice...

I know what he has.

What i was saying is, i have the widest tire that can fit on a stock rim. I have ran this tire on both stock mark vii and stock mark viii wheels with no ill effects.

245/50 r16 =

245/25.4 is 9.645 inches wide tire that i\'ve run on 7\" wheels for almost 2 years now.

taking 9.645 x 50% = 4.822 tall

Daboss tires

245/45 r16 =

245/25.4 = 9.645 inches wide, again on a 7 inch wheel

9.645 x 45% = 4.340 tall

Same width, his is shorter...which i never debated.

4.822 - 4.340 = .482 shorter (less then half an inch) which when dealing with diameters is cut in half so .24 inch on each side shorter then mine.

No reason whatsoever those wouldnt work.

You can put even fatter tires on rims but those are the widest i\'d recommend. I\'ve drag raced on them, hit pot holes in jersey and philly, driven in snow, and never had a problem with mine.

You\'re measurement is of the tread side of the tire not the bead. That\'s the part that contacts the rim. His sidewalls will look like this: \\ /
instead of like this: | |
I simply checked the manufacturing spec. Your kuhmos state a 7\" minimum wheel width, the BFG\'s (and any other tire that size I checked at tirerack.com) states minimum 7.5\" width :dunno:

Oh, just for reference, stock tire spec:

225/60=
225/25.4 = 8.858\" wide
8.858 x 60% = 5.315\" tall

5.315 - 4.340 = .975\" shorter per sidewall = 1.95\" total = 18% shorter than stock

they were on a set of 16x7 pony\'s on a 91 stang so thats why I grabbed them. I like the low pros on these cars, my 17x8 ROH\'s have 245/45/zr17\'s
O well, im gonna drop it on all four courners so it should look good for now, Wish they would fit my 17\'s but im gonna have to save for a set of those.
Those tires, the 4.10\'s, and rebuilt rear suspension, the car should handle like a dream again.
