Hey, that\'s what happens when you make the shithead co-workers LOOK OBVIOUSLY like shitheads. Back in the Nineties in my First Go Around as a Coal Hauler, I ran the Ragged Edge, pushing the Envelope like a stunt pilot in an Extra 300. I would throw that old Mack Superliner into curves on US52 in WVA like it was a Formula 1 March or Brabham, making the trailer tires on the inside come off the ground 4 to 6 inches. The Old Hands were needless to say MORTIFIED when I did this, as it WAS Radically EXTREME, even for Coal Haulers, sort of like doing a back-flip on a dirtbike DURING a race. But I had the same load count as the guys who had Big Hosses and never went home. But, The Big Boss eventually began to hear Rumors, and saw my load count, and decided to follow me Down The River in his 56,000-dollar diesel pickup. When I ran off and LEFT him through the curves and he could only catch me on hills, and PASSED his Big Hoss Petes and KW\'s where I could, making his Old Hands look like they weren\'t Trying, he let me go. THEY had 425-horse Cat engines and 15-speeds. I had a weak 350 Mack with a 13-speed. THEY hauled ass around the hill loaded or empty, being HARD on his tires, brakes, and springs, while I eased around the hill and caught back up with them on the blacktop, being EASY on his tires, springs, and brakes. At the end of the day, he came up and asked me, \'Raider! Buddy! WHY the Hell do you drive like you do?!\" I didn\'t understand what he was getting at, so I said, \" Because I CAN?\" He was all upset about the Wheels-Up thing, understandably, but when my comparisons of my breakdowns made no visible difference, I began to suspect an Ulterior Motive. I busted only three tires in a month, as opposed to the other driver\'s 6 to 12 tires per month, and the tires I popped had the steel cord hanging out when I got in the truck. Other guys would break 1 or 2 spring racks per month, while I broke only ONE in two months, and it had two leaves broke when I got the truck. And my trailer was the same size as everyone else\'s, so we were pulling the same loads, 65 to 75 tons. In short, I had the Shit Truck, but was hauling the same and sometimes a load more than the Aces, and costing him less in parts, too. Then, when some of the Seniors called the local Prick Cop on me, the cop nailed almost everybody BUT me that month for Speeding, which I STILL can\'t figure out. Two days before they let me go, the cop met me at a little store by the road and asked me if I was the Raider, I admitted to it, and he asked me where I\'d been, he\'d been looking for me. Well, I\'d been out there every damned day HE had except Sundays, and seen HIM every day, so I didn\'t know what he was talking about. He wanted to know how I made that old POS Mack run like he was hearing it was, and I just said, \" I don\'t know, now that you mention it. It seems to run pretty good for ME.\"
So, NO, it don\'t pay to make the co-workers look bad. Also, not a Good Idea to spook The Boss\'s mules, either.
KY Jim
Disclaimer; Due to excessive shrinkage of testicles, I can no longer do the Wheels-Up trick intentionally. Also, Loaded Speeds in excess of 125mph make my blood pressure rise to the point where my eyes bulge out and lose focus.

So it\'s pretty cold here (for Florida) and work\'s been super cold these past 2 days. I went and bought a little heater for under my desk. I get back and plug it in, of course, 2 seconds later it blew the fuse causing 6 of the 8 of us to lose power. I can facilities to have them come fix the breaker and the guy says he\'ll send a heating/cooling guy out too to see why it\'s so cold in our room. Turns out someone turned the A/C on and it\'s been trying to maintain 60 degrees. No wonder. The guy left the cover off the thermostat and told us he \"couldn\'t find it\" so we can have control over it from here on out.

Just thought I\'d share, since I haven\'t recently due to no time to get on here all that often anymore.
I never understood the wild differences in pay plans between dealerships when I sold cars. Where I worked at Ford, we got roughly 30% of gross left in the vehicle (dealer cash didn\'t count :soapbox:) - with a $100 commission minimum. Up the road at Hyundai, the guys got a flat commission no matter what was left in the car - $150 for an Accent, $300 for a Sonata, etc. And we were paid weekly with cheques, no direct deposit
my current payplan is $200 mini; 25% payable gross commision; $600 bonus if 5 cars sold during pay period (basically 1st-15th, 16th-end month), $150 bonus over 5 cars sold per half; $150 bonus on used cars over 90 days old; $1,000 mini\'s on Sprinter vans.

so basically, the key is to sell 5 cars per half (10 total per month) and a good $4k - $5k month is in play.

the Pontiac/Buick/GMC dealership i was at for 2.5 months, the pay plan was 25% payable gross, and $150 mini\'s. no bonus program or anything.

when i was a Fleet Sales Manager at the Auto Mall (9 brands) my pay plan was 30% of total deal...so i got gross, holdback, dealercash, back end gross, all with NO sales pack.
thats the dealership that \"Laid me off\" after spending a month trying to recruit me.

so im back at Dodge, where i started at 2 years ago. lol
They COULD be, if an organizing effort was made.
shit, i cant even begin to think of what kind of organization that would take. since each dealership is a franchise, and there are over 7,000 dealerships...yeah idk. lol

there is a Mitsubishi dealership that is no further than 1/8 mile up the road from me. well they are closing at the end of this month, like many others in the valley. most dealers dont have the time or money ore resources to even think of unionizing....lol or whatever.

Sat in one and my friend had to pry me out of the car it was so friggen comfortable. Its amazing. I was talking to the caddy guy and i was like it would be hard to chose this or the ZR-1 he goes well you either dont have a family and go vette, or you do and go caddy. Plus vette is 113k caddy is 60k.
Id take the caddy. I called my mom and told her thats my grad present I want hahaha. Its so comfy, you can get it with paddle shift auto, or 6 speed stick. That car is TITS, its a race car in a tux.

Just did an 8 page report on a client\'s domain name research. OMG! My fingers are tired and I\'m sick as a dog with the flu... Why 8 pages for maybe 100 bucks worth of domains? To make sure the client has the BEST marketing strategies EVER... You don\'t want to know how large my web strategies portion is :( I think I\'m about to die... took 4 different cold medications and I swear my heart is beating as fast as a humming bird\'s heart! :wtf: Can\'t be too good. Must hold out until 4 (last meeting) then I can crash for the weekend.

Good for you! What\'s brought this on? I spent all summer and fall busting my ass cycling and got to where I could eat anything I wanted without fear. Now that winter is here and the riding is non existent I have gained almost 25 pounds in two months :D

Do every other day. You have to give your muscles time to rebuild.

Tired of looking like I was and knowing what I looked like 10-15 years ago. I know I won\'t look exactly the same but I want to at least get back down to that area. And...there\'s a (healthy) competition between me and a friend of mine vs Renee and her boss.
Do every other day. You have to give your muscles time to rebuild.
I was doing everyday...same reps/sets. Now I\'m doing legs one day and upper the other. It\'s the damn cardio that\'s killing me...that\'s everyday. Well...except for today. :shifty:

And I have a wedding to be in in July and I have to wear a tux. I don\'t want to look like a penguin doing it. :D

I just created a profile and have written down everything I\'ve eaten...including drinks. As of right now, I still have about 500cal to play with but won\'t. I never should have let myself go for this long but it got easier to sit on my ass. I just got fed up a few weeks ago (NOT a NYR\'s! btw) and decided to do something about it. The only thing I don\'t like so far is the fact that it\'s too damn cold to go outside and walk around the park, do yard work, you know...sweaty shit.
