Just noticed my lawn has turned a lovely shade of brown in many areas. It\'s rained but not very much. I went on a bike ride tonight. 35 miles but was broken up in the middle by a \'time trial\' (race against the clock). 6 miles, 2000\' climb in elevation. Best time was a little more than 20 minutes....me, I did it in 24 min 40 seconds. Coming down the other side of the mountain I hit speeds of 50mph+

My body is fatigued from the middle of my back to the tips of my toes and I\'m feeling just a little more than loopy. At least the alternating chills and hot flashes have subsided.

Damn, now I sound like Heather :p

I had plans to go to the beach today, come back to my house for dinner, then go back to the beach for the fireworks, but the rain may get in the way of the beachy parts of the plan :\\

If it clears up, we\'ll go see the fireworks tonight, though.

no plans.. just another day.. expecting rain today. since it will prolly be raining this afternoon instead of trying to dodge showers to grill out, i think i will just make chicken fajitas with my new fajita cooker thingy.:)

Awesome, thanks. I was a bit nervous about working after 4 years of being home. But it\'s actually been kind of fun.

My daughter isn\'t taking it very well though. She\'s crying all the time, and hanging on me when I\'m home (insisting on sleeping with me and crying if I go to the store) Sigh...we\'ll work through it, though...

We\'ll have the grill set up in the garage, right next to the door. It will keep the food (and it\'s cooker) dry, allow the smoke to escape, and we get our grill cooked food regardless of the weather. It does not appear that fireworks are in our plans as the rain has only gotten harder . I let the dog out back and noticed my neighbors nice new garden in back flooded, washing all of her mulch into my grass. I\'ll have to wait til it dries up to go rake it back in there for her. She\'s older, it\'s the nice thing to do.

Everyone is still sleeping in my house, so I am a little bored. Nothing on TV to watch, it\'s raining so i can\'t go out to do some gardening. The only room left to clean is the livingroom, and I\'ll need to vacuum it, so I will wait until people have woken up to do so.

I really feel bad for my niece and her friend. They came all the way from MI to be able to go to the beach and so far their trip\'s been a washout. I suspect tomorrow they\'ll head to the beach even if it is raining, the only thing that will probably stop them would be a thunderstorm. The did mention maybe going to the movie theater on the beach if that happened.
