I was off from work yesterday afternoon. I was in the computer lab doing homework, otherwise I\'d have been here post whoring away.
I had a meeting with Britt\'s teacher and a few assholes from her school to determine if she is elegable for more help. Well, she\'s not elegible and it\'s lovely to know that her school isn\'t willing to do anything to prevent her from failing! I am a little pissed at the school and I have to manage to find the time to call the principal today to throw in my 2 cents worth about how shitty the school is making my life as a parent who simply wants to see her child PASS THE 3RD GRADE
I think maybe the school district is trying to tell you that your kid is smart enough to pass. She just doesn\'t apply herself!!!!
If I say anything more you will be mad at me.
Vicki,
I can\'t find the begining of this, but can you give me more info? What kind of behavior are you seeing? Why are her grades low, etc...
I only ask because my 14 year old was misdiagnosed for about 8 years. 1st he was just a rambuntious boy, then for about 6 years it was add, now it turns out he has something like aspergers and a couple other problems. I put up with the acing out in class, faiing almost exerything, but somehow squeaking through, him being picked on by students, teachers, everything.
What type of meeting did you have? was it an IEP/ If not, request one. There is so much help out there.
