I\'ve worked several 70-90 hour weeks (two jobs - normally six eight hour shifts at one, and between three and six six hour shifts at the other), and it wasnt so bad until I did it for three or four weeks, then I looked like a zombie. A few weeks later, I got used to it, but quit my second job.

I normally had Saturday off though. That was my only night off of my full-time job, so I usually requested it off at my part-time job. Most of the time when I had to work Saturday I traded shifts with someone. If the manager needed me on Saturday he asked before making the scedule. That one day really came in handy for making up for lost sleep.

Damn man, sounds like you work to much..

My job wouldn\'t be so bad, but its 11 days straight, while being outside in the heat, and all I will be doing is breaking up fights, hauling drunk people to the curb, and did I mention breaking up fights? I am hoping the vest I get will stop a shank attack

Eh, that was years ago. Now I just work 40 to 50 something hours a week.

I\'m not trying to make you nervous, but IIRC most body armor (take for example level IIIA, which is what I think is common for for patrolmen) doesnt do much for stabbing weapons. But I dont know much about current body armor, I havent looked into it a whole lot since I decided not to go into LE. Being as tall as you are, you should be thinking about your legs. If I were a drunk trying to stick you with a shank, I\'d go for you leg, especially if I knew you were wearing a vest.

WTF are you doing breaking up fights and dragging drunks around?

I dob\'t remember all of the info on the vest, but I can\'t imagine it will do shit for a knife .. The big issue is coverage, the vest is built for a normal sized person. Although they fit me, coverage is so so. You are right about the legs part, most people would likely hit my leg/balls/stomach. I am wearing a cup for my peice of mind, and for my legs I will just have on thick jeans.

As far as what am I doing dragging drunks around, and breaking up fights, I am going to be working with the police department, at the worlds largest music festival :). I am an intern with the department, I will be hanging out with officers all night for 11 days. Anything that happens I will be there to see it. If a fight breaks out, I am going to assist the officers. Things could get out of hand, but we shal see...

Hey since I have you here, what semi auto handgun would you recommend for 600$ and under? I want something that has some power, built for a big handed person, good build quality, and that sort of thing. I am looking for a good gun for the range, so I can pratice. I have tried a .45 CZ, and loved it minus the grips. I also tried out what I think is a 9mm CZ, and it was a bit to small in size. The .44 mag DE I shot was fun, but hardly pratical as my only gun at the range (not to mention I would get tired of the recoil lol). What I would really like is some ideas, so next time I am at the shop I can try out some of them.

One day I will get a DE though, its to much fun to fire. I love when people come in and start to fire little 9mm and like guns. One shot from the De sounds like a bomb compared to what the other people were firing. The fireball was nuts though ...
