My MKX had a rear bench but the Aviator has rear captains. I have two fifty pound dogs who I don't want to crate for the two mile trip to the dog park. Any ideas for a barrier? What about a fitted mat for the back, is the Ford one a good choice?

Hi nuck. If the Lincoln Accessories website does not have any products/options you care for, then check out companies like WeatherTech, Husky, California Car Cover etc. etc.

Or alternately, Google phrases such a "auto pet barriers" or similar for results like this: auto pet barriers - Google Search

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

Hi Nuck - I have the Aviator with the 3rd row down so have the same issue with the dogs. Here are the two things that I purchased that I have been really happy with. Sizes may vary from the Aviator to MKX so take a look.

The mesh barrier looks interesting. Does this secure from the headrests?

My recent solution. Since I have Captain's chairs in row 2 I wanted something to 'bridge' the gap. Installed today after the carpet backing; worked as desired as you can see with the shot of the dog.
