My MKX had a rear bench but the Aviator has rear captains. I have two fifty pound dogs who I don't want to crate for the two mile trip to the dog park. Any ideas for a barrier? What about a fitted mat for the back, is the Ford one a good choice?

The mesh barrier looks interesting. Does this secure from the headrests?Hi Nuck - I have the Aviator with the 3rd row down so have the same issue with the dogs. Here are the two things that I purchased that I have been really happy with. Sizes may vary from the Aviator to MKX so take a look.

that is very cool. nicely done.My recent solution. Since I have Captain's chairs in row 2 I wanted something to 'bridge' the gap. Installed today after the carpet backing; worked as desired as you can see with the shot of the dog.
