Front sidewindow tint too dark - Can't see jack

The front side windows have too dark a tint. I can't see squat, especially at night.

Attached is pic:

1) is this from the factory this way?

2) How do I reduce the tint?

Hi Fungus. If it is an applied tint film (which it seems to be from your description and photo), it is not factory tint.

You can't reduce the tint. If you want it lighter, you would need to have it removed, then leave it with the basic factory tint already in the glass, or have it re-tinted with a lighter tint.

The hint that t is not factory is the lack of tint/shading or a 1/8 from the top.
That was done on purpose to not be an issue when the window glass is raised all the to the top.

That is an aftermarket tint that is most likely a removable film. A single edge razor blade will be of great help removing it.
