FORScan User's Thread

Thanks for the detailed reply — that’s exactly the path I’ve been following. I have a 2024 Lincoln Nautilus (GCC version) and I already used motorcraftservice.com to download the AS-BUILT data from a matching US vehicle (same trim and year). I then used FORScan to back up all of my original module configurations and compared them to the US spec. Most modules had the same firmware and values, with some differences in regional bytes. What’s interesting is that ever since I purchased the car last year, whenever I perform a factory reset on the APIM, I briefly see hidden features like SiriusXM, Rejuvenate Mode, and Wi-Fi Hotspot appear — but they disappear after a few seconds, even with stock configuration and before making any FORScan edits. This strongly suggests that the system disables them dynamically based on region, VIN, or backend provisioning. Later on, I tried enabling Navigation Center by adjusting 7E0-163-04 (e.g., using value D9), but that didn’t have any lasting effect. It seems the hardware does support these features, but they remain locked unless certain conditions are met. Just wanted to share this in case others are trying the same — I’d love to hear from anyone who’s managed to get these features working long-term on a non-US vehicle.
Another thing I forgot to mention.....these vehicles use a cellular modem. The network the ones in the U.S. connect to is AT&T. A cellular network that is unavailable in your region. And wtih the vehicle knowing its location, it may disable features no matter what because it simply knows its unavailable in your region. Google may be also restricting features based on region on their end in which case there is nothing that can be done about it on our part. Theres alot of factors going into this. All we can do is try and send it and watch what happens lol.

Haven't been on here much but did just do a few FORScan updates to the Nautilus. It would appear with the new setup that started with our 2024 Nautilus' that Ford has combined the IPC and APIM. Any IPC changes are now under the APIM plain english area. No access through HEX. I went in tonight and turned off the key in car (ignition) chime and the door open chime and then killed a couple other irritations. First is the start up sound. On a regular Ford vehicle it's called the triple ding. On the Mustang it's a triple thump. On the Lincoln, it's a symphony sound. All three are annoying to me and can go away. If you go into the APIM and scroll to the IPC area and look for "seatbelt warning market." It has nothing to do with the seatbelt settings but that's where it is. Change it from US to Europe and the start up symphony sound is silent. Ahhhhh... Last one is the seatbelt splash screen. Where you have to click OK to confirm you know everyone's seatbelt situation. Go to the IPC section of the APIM again and find the "seatbelt configuration" area. On all 5 lines that say "fixed seat present with belt minder" change them to "0 - seat not present." Your seatbelt spash screen will be gone. As always, back up before making changes. But these are some great nanny's to eliminate.

Hi Steve.... I'm a long time FORScan user and a huge advocate of the program. I've used it on my last 3 Ford SD trucks and our current Corsair GT. When our 24 Nautilus lands, I'll be jumping right in there too. I've also used it on many friend's vehicles as well. Up until recently, I ran the OBDLink MX and have recently upgraded to the MX+. I did this because the plus will work with my iPhone as well so I can run FORScan Lite on the fly to do some service procedures like clearing adaptive learning tables on my trucks trans, clear DTCs, etc. Both are BT and both have always performed flawlessly. You likely won't find a Lincoln specific spreadsheet for available changes but using the equivalent Ford spreadsheet will get you where you need to be.

As you probably know, always back up whatever module you are modifying before making any changes just in case something goes wrong. You can also download your complete as built profile from the Ford Service website which will contain all your values from day one. One thing to remember is that once you make a change with FORScan, the next time the dealer plugs in, your current As Built will be uploaded to Ford's server and it will become your vehicle's new As Built. So, having an original copy from before doing any changes is always a good idea... although I've never once had the need for it...

What's also great is FORScan has come a long way in recent years with plain English changes. When it first started, there was little plain English and almost everything had to be done by changing values in HEX. Although, sometimes plain English changes are ineffective. But, the great thing about Forscan is nothing is permanent. If something doesn't work, switch it back. If something has a negative effect, switch it back.

Anyways, have fun tweaking! I am a moderator on the major Ford truck forums (Ford Truck Enthusiasts) and one of my areas includes many Forscan specific threads. So, while I'm not a guru, I've been around it a lot. I also have a friend who is indeed a guru. He actually wrote a computer program to isolate different values in as built profiles and is one of the ones who creates new changes for the spreadsheets and also communicates directly with FORScan about progress and helps them add new plain English options on new releases of the software. So, if you (or anyone else here on the Lincoln forums) ever get stuck on something, I'll try to help if I can. 🍻

I'm a new user and have a 2025 Nautilus. Got the FORscan extended license. Just starting out and I'm trying to get the drivers seat belt chimes turned off and I'm getting nowhere. Any input would be great.

Define getting nowhere.....we need more details. Like is it recognizing your vehicle at all? Or is it not showing what youre looking for on the main switch board? Like what exactly is the issue?

I would like to enable trailer light wiring on a 2025 Nautilus. Can that be done with FORscan? How?

There is a switchboard in FORScan for certain modules that allow you to turn on and off features without flipping binaries. However until you hook up a computer to your vehicle, you won't know. And as updates for FORScan come out, more and more options and features to the software are added, this is especially true for very new vehicles.

Do you know which module controls the trailer lights?

Yes I can read the car and see all the modules but without spreadsheets like the F150 guys have I don't know what or where to change anything.
