My Lincoln
2022 Aviator reserve
Hello everyone.
I have a 2022 Aviator that I want to use a FORscan to enable fog lights for a reserve model
that didn't come with them but now has them and the switch.
I want the switch to light up the icon on the dash.
Does anyone have experience with this or have info on how to get a spreadsheet.

Thank You for the help

There is a sheet but it does not have much on it. It's like Ford has wised up to what folks are doing especially with disabling the auto start/stop. I did see where you could set the fog lights to stay on in high beam Bambi mode. When I ordered mine last week I decided to get the Illumination package at the last minute mainly because I wanted the lighted Lincoln star. However it's sad that now that is the only way to get factory fogs. Google 2020 explorer forscan and you should find the sheet

OK - I think I'm ready to give FORscan a try. I wish to turn off the auto-stop, then enable the cameras at speed. I'll use the Livnitup codes unless someone knows that those won't work.

Does anyone wish to share the different changes you've made and the source of the code (or actual module line info you changed)?

bob schk, were you successful with the fog lights? Did they slide right in? Where did you put a/the switch?

Hi,
The fog lights mounted up no problem,i ordered the plug online from autozone.
They are 3 wire lights:
1-fused power
2-ground
3-tapped into the running lamps
no switch yet-dealer couldn't do it and I was afraid to try but wired this way they fade on when you approach the vehicle.
when you are in FORscan let me know if you see a way to activate the factory fog lights.

I just took delivery of 2023. I knew going in that disabling the auto start/stop through Forscan was going to be an issue as Ford has caught on to folks turning this off. I did install the auto start/stop eliminator that plugs in wire harness on steering column and it works great. The only issue I had with that was that everytime I started the car I got a message on the instrument panel that said auto start/stop had been disabled by switch. I went into the instrument panel module in Forscan and turned off that warning. So now it's as if auto start never existed.

Actually, the FORscan change appeared to have worked. My first test in the neighborhood appears so - when we drive around town again that will for sure validate. I'll update then.

Can you list the address and modules that you changed

"but wired this way they fade on when you approach the vehicle".

1) can you explain what you mean in the bold and italics?
2) I've found two different explanations on fog lights that are potentially different lines. One is in the popular 'Livnitup' F150 large workbook of settings, the other is in one I found on the 2020 - 022x explorers. They each address concurrent High Beam/Fogs and are consistent. In the same workbook, there are numerous settings with fog lights. In my brief perusal I noted no mention of a switch. I would assume that the Ford engineers are assuming it's wired like at the factory, which means whatever connections and switches the factory made - that's the way your car is configured.

In your description of 3 wires, does this mean when your running lights are on, the fog lights come on as well?

PSCM730-03-01xxxxxxxx00--tricks Auto Start/Stop into thinking a steering event is happening at a stop so ASS never happens

The first two digits changed from 01 to 00. The field initially had 013A in it, so I changed that to a 003A. It warned me that the checksum would not work, advise if that's OK. I accepted OK. The process then has you reset by turning the key off then back on. I rechecked to see the final configuration. It went from 003A as I left it to 0039 (my guess is the check-sum did it's magic).

I did get an odd message backing out of the garage that said: REVERSE BRAKE ASSIST NOT AVAILABLE - SEE MANUAL. Before checking the manual I drove in the neighborhood some to get some warm-up. I then pulled back in my garage (just outside) to idle in gear for a while. It never turned off. The system still thought it was enabled per checking the page I push to deactivate. I then powered down, back up and backed out of my garage as always - the brake assist message did not come back. It appears fine. The manual discussed this, my guess is it was confused from the changes and then reset itself.

Let me reiterate I'm not totally sure it was yet up to temp - but hopefully will check again sometime today or tomorrow. I'll then post the final outcome.

I'm guessing that they come ON the same way the Lincoln Embrace feature works when you approach the Aviator.

They do come on everytime the parking lights come on.but in auto the parking lights come on and the headlights come on so i'm good with it.
I'd like to hook them to the factory switch because I can't turn them off but I didn't want to run wires through the firewall

Generally wiring harnesses are the same in many cars with or without certain options. It's cheaper for the manufacturer to do it this way because they have less parts variation. Wiring harnesses used to be one of those items - but don't know how tight they try and shave the weight these days what with mileage being such a big deal (weight matters).

You may wish to find out if the harness with fog lights is different - if not - simply find where to splice in and you may find you're in good shape. You may have to decipher the FORscan stuff to figure out how to get it to work - my guess is that that's why there's the myriad of codes and on off options.

Running wires within an existing penetration is not a big deal - it's just getting access that's tough. I understand your reluctance, however.

Since Lincoln finally recognized my VIN is no longer a prior to 2010 vehicle - it gave me permission to download the updated maps. After 30 minutes of idle - temperature definitely in the working range - I tested the FORscan update. It no longer turns off! YAE!!

Next to the cameras. My fear, however is that I'll not be able to get what I want. I want the rear camera on when going forward (so I can look back at my trailer). We'll see what I can figure out there.

Since there is already a delay built in that allows for the rear camera to stay ON until you exceed 6 mph in Drive, it may be just checking to see if there is anything that can be modified in that setting.

One thing you may not be thinking of - you can't see the reverse camera when driving forward, the converse is true. Since I wish to see the rear camera when going forward, that may be an issue. I've got to do some research to see if someone has figured that out.

As mentioned, you can if you stay under 6 mph and you have the 'Delay' set to ON. ;)

Sorry for lack of clarity, Peter - I want the rear camera on when I'm driving down the highway, trailer in tow, and 65 mph!

No, I understood the post. I was saying that since there is already a built-in delay, perhaps that setting could be modified using FORScan if the right coding can be found.

Ca you share what changes were madeto disable the auto start/stop message that's is been disabled, I've installed a Naviks unit andwould liketo get ridof the message as well.
