Has anybody received a letter from the Ford asking owners to have their cars emission system checked?
The testing would be conducted by an independent testing company named ATDS.
I did some research, and it looks very real.

The terms of the deal offered looked very fair. If I consent, they may or may not want to test my car.
I would be paid and receive a loan car while they had my car.

Nope. Maybe you need to be close to the testing facility to get the offer?

The test facility is 48 miles away so, maybe they won't pick my car.
The test period they will have my car is 1 to 4 weeks all done on a dynamometer.
They did say they would pick my car up and leave me a loaner car. Or I could drive there and get a loaner too.

I read a post online where someone consented to this testing (same company) on his BMW. The testing put about 85 miles on his car plus to and from the test facility.
They paid him $500.
Other posters were kidding him saying it was stupid and that they had used his car as a drug mule.
This happened in 2015 back East in Michigan.

This deal sounded bizarre to me at first, but I now see it as a real deal.
Even so, I don't think I am going to let them test my car. If it were a day or two, I probably would do it.

I received something similar but to be taken to a roush facility, to be kept for testing up to 4weeks for I think a couple hundred $ compensation.
wasn't worth my time to do that.

I didn't know Roush did testing like that.
My offer was more tempting because they offered $1,500, a full tank of gas, and a wash inside and out.
I didn't like them having my car for 4 weeks and my wife thought we would never see our car again. I could not convince her that the offer is really from Ford.
