They removed the handsfree lift gate on the trunk because the shortage. So you cannot put your foot below the trunk of the car to open the trunk.

Yes I knew about that delete but they also gave me 50.00 credit for enhanced security system lite.

Haven't heard of that particular feature. Maybe they removed one of the horns.

Seems a bit of a reach terminology wise. How can a removal of a feature be an enhancement?

Certainly wasn't doubting you. Just as curious as you are to what they removed. Peter may have called it . . . .did they remove a horn? Or did they disable the enhanced valet mode, or the vehicle inclination sensor (whatever the heck that is)? Seems like those 3 could be chip related omissions. The locking interior storage is the other feature of the enhanced security. Maybe they can't acquire the parts for that. Tough to tell these days. Made even tougher to figure out when they don't tell you exactly what it is. Until it shows up.

No worries....it seemed so vague that I wanted to make sure I was reading it right. I will go by the dealer this afternoon and see if they have any idea

It might be the Remote Self Destruct chip. In case of theft, Doncha know…. :p

I spoke to the dealer and he found out that they are deleting the intrusion and inclination sensors on the anti theft system
Yeah....they're chipping away on a lot of features/options throughout the Ford/Lincoln lineup.

I don't know if that was an unintended pun or not Pete but I'm sure the other manufacturers are doing the same thing.

I had something similar pop up when I ordered my car. The "enhanced security system lite" sounds like a basic security feature they’re giving you credit for because it’s not the full package you’d usually get. Probably just covers the basics like an alarm, but nothing too fancy.

Kind of like when I set up my system at home. I opted for some basic stuff at first, and later upgraded with cameras from Vivint Home Security & Smart Home Systems when I needed more. I’d say you’re getting a decent start, and if you want more down the line, you can always look into additional security features.
