Embrace lighting not working

Embrace will not come on, any ideas?

I'm away from my car for the weekend, but there's a setting for (I believe) 'approach detection,' or something like that. Others here should be able to provide more detail before I return. Maybe that's the issue?

Embrace (lights upon approach) cannot work for several reasons. Are you using Phone as a Key or fob?

1. the lights upon approach setting got changed
2. the vehicle has gone into deep sleep state (low battery)
3. if using a phone as key, phone settings got changed

Often starting the vehicle or rebooting the system can fix it.

Often starting the vehicle or rebooting the system can fix it.

Another variation is the key fob was detected too many times without entrance, so the vehicle suspended the feature temporarily.

I have found that mine also doesn't work when I use phone as a key. Key fob works almost every single time. Also when I get to the vehicle it doesn't unlock until after I touch the handle a second time. Almost like its slow to wake up. Wonder how to fix this?

Mine sometimes does this. However, I have found that it happens most frequently when I'm trying to open the door while the key fob is in the same hand I am using to open the door. I have found that if I keep the key fob in one hand and use the other hand to open the door, it usually opens on first touch to the door. It's as if it doesn't like the fob being too close to the door handle mechanism.

I only use PAAK and the Embrace lighting almost always works. I've suspected that when it doesn't work, it's because the car had recently or repeatedly been "woken up" but not opened. When that happens, I suspect the Embrace lighting and the car's prep to be opened with a single pull of the door handle is disabled. Maybe to preserve the battery?

All speculation on my part.
