EATC vacuum source?

2000 Town car
2000 Town car - My vents died and only blow out the defrost vent like many experience but...

I have been battling a mouse. It chewed half my injector & coil wires, my fuel evaporator plug and the vacuum lines that feed the EGR & fuel regulator all of which I fixed. I removed my EATC and I am missing vacuum on the black supply hose. I have good vacuum on the emergency brake kickoff feed, EGR, Fuel pressure regulator. The black EATC hose under the dash looks okay as far as I can see with a borescope.

I can see where it comes out between the engine & firewall just above and to the right of the accelerator pedal though I can't reach it on the engine side. It too appears okay with the borescope. It then disappears after an inch into a big wire bundle with tons of protective wrap on it. I can't see where it goes it's so cramped and tight back there.

I can't find anything online on the EATC vacuum circuit and my Chiltons doesn't have anything either.

Does anyone know where this black hose is connected? Anyone have a diagram or pictures? I don't see anything on the manifold other than the EGR & Fuel pressure regulator hoses. I can't reach where the brake booster line disappears in the back either. I don't think there's more than 2" between the engine and the firewall.

Hoping someone knows something and it won't be impossible to reach.

Went out today and blew air through the black hose and listened for air. I can hear it behind the engine. Blew through other vacuum lines and they all can only be heard at mouth of throttle body. Still can't see so removed the wheel well to get a better angle and was able to see the hose a little but no way to reach it. Removed throttle body and now can get good angle at least with the borescope. Hose looks good but what I think is the vacuum reservoir has a hole chewed just below the bump where the hose goes in. I can't tell if only the bump is the reservoir or the whole big black box thing is one part and the reservoir.
What I'm calling the bump, sticks out from the big black box and has the white hose from the parking brake shut off and the black hose for the EATC going into it. It has part number F8VC- 9J442-B3 on it but a search doesn't show anything.
Anyone have any pictures of a vacuum reservoir to see if the bump is part of it? Anyone know how to change it? It looks like I'm going to have to remove the engine to get to it. There's tons of hoses & wire bundles in the way and only a few inches between the engine block and where it is on the firewall.
Would it hurt to just put a T-fitting on the white hose for the emergency brake vacuum release and hook the EATC hose to it? I don't think I can do this reservoir myself and paying someone if the motor has to be pulled would cost more than the car is worth.

I can't see anything wrong with that approach in my opinion.

I don't have any specifics to your year Town Car but all the Lincolns of that era that I've owned had a vacuum canister of some sort along with a check valve for the feed to the EATC. The vacuum tube generally went directly to the intake manifold, sometimes with a tee fitting at the intake manifold that fed vacuum to another component.
 
Teeing into a random vacuum line will get function. (assuming there are no leaks.
However, if the system needs a reservoir and I think it does, that means under heavy load or accelerating there is not enough vacuum for the HVAC system to operate.

If you want a work around, use a reservoir.

Removing the engine isn't a thing to service parts on the HVAC system. Getting the shop manual set will save you a lot if you want to do your own repairs.

ETinPA - thanks for the procedure although for some reason the site won't let me download it. It says something about adblocking is preventing me from downloading it.
Thinking about this and using a T off the white e-brake vacuum should fix my EATC problem but it won't be ideal because I'm still going to have a minor constant vacuum leak. Not a big deal since car seems to be running okay but it's still not right.
If I could reach the vacuum reservoir, I could probably reseal the hole. In the Air Force, we had this goop called B&1/2 that we used to seal bulkheads for cabin pressure.
If nobody has a way to reach this and change it, I'll probably just T it to make everything work and then try to find a replacement at a junkyard from a car that has already had the engine pulled so I can at least get a good look at it, see how it's attached, the bolts and other hoses etc so I can get a better idea of how to get to mine.
I'm still hoping someone here has a better idea though.

Yeah, I've been told some sites use the same method to display content as they use to display ads. Not sure if that's the case here but, if you turn off your ad blocker temporarily you might be able to access the attachment.

An alternative might be to use a browser without an ad blocker just the get the attachment.
 
Thank you all for the help. I got it all tore apart and got lucky. The mouse didn't chew all the way through so vacuum reservoir was actually still good. (I put some putty on the weak spot just in case though).
The leak was actually in the black hose right where it comes through the firewall before going into the reservoir. It was on the back side where I couldn't see it.
I cut the chewed part out and coated both sides with silicone RTV then slid some rubber heavy walled vacuum hose over them. It's a good tight fit plus the silicone will dry and double seal it.
Threw everything back together and it all works as advertised.
