Good day! I am brand new to the forum. I am about to put my Lincoln Town Car I acquired back in 2023 on the road and have noticed some funky operation of the 5 electronic door actuators.

What happens after a battery disconnect is I have to struggle with the controls to get the AC to blow out of the dash panel vents. They may stick on defrost or floor and like I said it is a struggle to get it to blow from the panel vents. Once it blows from the panel vents it typically stays there until the next battery disconnect or EATC diagnostic procedure.

I've gone through the EATC diagnostic procedure a number of times, and it often reports some of the actuators are faulty and other times not. What I would like to do is either install switches or cut the wires altogether that supply power to the two actuators that require the dashboard to come out. I believe they are the:
1. Panel dash vents / defrost door actuator
2. Floor mode actuator
I absolutely don't want to pull the dash.

So once again, I'd like to cut one of the feed wires to each of those actuators, as living in Florida, it is rare that I need heat at my feet or defrost mode.

Does anyone know which two wires I can cut, and I am guessing the wires would come out of the back of the EATC module?

I did this in one of my other Panthers but it has a different EATC module, and I am sure the wire colors are different.

Thank you very much.

Pulling the dash nowhere near as hard as it sounds. It’s a fairly simple procedure. My recommendation is to do it the right way.
