DISABLE ANC (Active Noise Control - Lincoln Continental

I was able to fix this on my 19 speaker Revel Ultima system by setting 783-01-01 to E rather than D on Xxxx xxxx xxxx in the DSP module with FORScan

Hi there,

I have a 2017 Lincoln Continental 3.0L, and am in the process of fitting an after market sound system that includes a 5 channel amplifier and sub woofer. I have been advised by a car audio installer that the active noise cancellation system will play havoc with the aftermarket stereo, the sub in particular.

They have advised that I should remove the roof lining to disconnect 3 mics that are part of the ANC system to disable it.

I'm hoping there is a simpler way to disable the ANC system using the Forscan software or going straight to the module?

FYI: I am using a PC running windows 10 with the latest copy of Forscan Standard Licence installed.

I am new to Forscan and the ford world so any help is greatly appreciated!

With all the work involved in taking this out, plus will it all go back together the same, is it really worth it ??? I have the Revell Ultima in my 17 and its the best sound system I've ever had. Even my house system doesn't match it. I can crank it to max and there is no distortion even with heavy base songs. I'll keep my system. My 19 MKZ has the same system + an extra speaker some where I've not located.

You can disable ANC using the FORSCAN software and not have to any panel removal or dismantling of the vehicle. I added a single subwoofer amp and subwoofer by splicing into the (2) factory subwoofer wires near the parcel shelf.
