My 2019 Lincoln Navigator entered Deep Sleep Mode on Saturday and my husband tried to charge battery. It was completely dead. Nothing worked at all. We replaced the battery Saturday morning and all seemed well until today I saw message that it had once again entered deep sleep mode with a brand new battery. Nothing works again. Car won’t unlock or start. We had to use the key on the key fob to even unlock door so he could pop the hood. What could be causing it to go into this mode? Nothing was left on in car to drain battery but obviously something is causing it to drain down.

2023 Lincoln Nautilus. We've had it 10 days. Entered deep sleep mode in the garage. Nothing we. could do to get power to it. Couldn't even find a manual way (including calling 2 dealerships and the Lincoln 800 #) to get the transmission into neutral. Wrecker had to drag it out of my garage and across the driveway to put it on the back of the truck. Sorry, no help. Only, same problem.

Did you replace the battery yourself or a dealership?

I have a 2023 Navigator Black Label and I`ve only had this car for 2 weeks and its gone into this deep sleep mode twice! I have a good AGM battery charger and charged up the battery, tomorrow I am going to take it in and have them check the battery to see if its bad.

Yes, with a charger, that does seem unusual.

I took the car in they got me in the next day gave me a Nautilus to drive as a loaner. They checked the charging system and reset the BCM and now it works like it was designed to!

It's odd. I noticed once when I used my charger that I had to follow the BCM reset from the manual, yes that thing lol, of locking the vehicle for 8+ hours.

I had charged the battery twice and I was still getting the deep sleep mode on the Lincoln Way App I took it in and they had it overnight and they reset the BCM now it works perfectly!

Yes, that is what I am saying. I did this procedure here overnight. Guessing this is all the dealership did was look the vehicle overnight to reset it.

And don`t come near it with the remote in your pocket or it will not work either, the truck will wake up.

@Vics 2023 Black Label can certainly correct me, but I am guessing that what his dealership reset was not the BCM but the BMS, Battery Management System to relearn the battery's state of charge.

Hi BL. That may very well be true, unless (possibly) the Dealer traced a parasitic drain issue back to the BCM and reprogrammed or updated it? I lost my Internet mind reading skills a while ago, so I was simply answering MikeMcCandless's question as to what the acronym "BCM" referred to. 🙃;)

Hopefully "Vics 2023 Black Label" will post back to clarify that, as you stated. 🤗

Good luck. 🍻

Yep, certainly could be true that is what they did.

Do you know how the dealer decided a BSM reset was the root cause/solution, or were they just guessing and this reset did the trick?
It wasn't my vehicle, but I assume they followed guidance from Lincoln on that.

I can tell you that I will put my vehicle on my charger when I notice that the Auto Stop/Start feature stops working. A few times I have fully charged the battery, and it still doesn't work. I then reset the BCM using the procedure I posted somewhere above, and then the next day the feature works. So, I guess resetting the BCM does the trick.

Hi BL. I assume you are referring to the BMS...not BCM. Correct? ;)

Good luck my friend! 🍻
