Customer Satisfaction Program 24B54 - Certain 2024 Model Year Nautilus - Update Infotainment Software

What is this issue about? I have my 24 Nautilus Reserve for 5 weeks and I did not notice anything relating to the entry/exit seat position.
This is the issue where your seat returns to the position associated with your key fob when you open the door instead of waiting until you start the vehicle likes it’s supposed to do. You have to have the easy entry/exit feature enabled in settings as well for this to work.

I only use 1 key fob. So the issue manifests when both key fob are used?

Actually, I think if you turn on the feature in settings, it will work independently of your key fob. In my case, I have profiles setup for myself and my wife based on key fob so each of our respective seat position is automatically selected depending on who is driving the vehicle.

If you don’t have easy entry/exit enabled then your seat won’t slide all the way back when you turn off the vehicle. That is how you can know if it’s enabled.

SSM 52462 didn't mention both keyfobs having to be in use, it was related to if the fob was linked to a profile:
  • Some 2024 Nautilus vehicles may exhibit a concern with the driver seat and steering column moving to the saved memory position instead of the easy entry position when approaching or unlocking the vehicle with the key fob. This condition may occur after setting up a client profile and is due to the driver front seat module (DSM) software. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and that engineering is currently working on revised DSM software for this condition that is expected in Q3 2024. In the interim, easy entry will function if the key fob is unlinked from the customers personal profile by selecting the profile on the center display screen, pressing the edit icon, choosing ID Method, pressing Unlink Key Fob, and then selecting Unlink from the pop-up screen. The customers driver seat and steering column memory settings will no longer be saved to the key fob but can be recalled by using the memory switches on the door or on the center display screen. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.

Yes, markfm is correct. I have our key fobs linked to profiles so our themes, widgets and other settings change depending on who is driving. In this configuration, entry/exit does not function correctly. Since this was supposed to be fixed with the Q3 release I was curious if it was.

Any new widgets for the 48” screen? Did they fix the entry/exit seat position issue? Did they fix the drive mode button so it actually toggles through the drive modes instead of having to select it from the middle screen? Did they add the pop-up that asks you if you want to keep the last drive mode when you start the vehicle like the owners manual described?
Sorry.... In line answers: No, NO (really want this one), No and Not sure as I don't switch the drive mode.

So the engine coolant temperature gauge had been missing?

It sounds like one missing item (something supposed to be there per the 2024 manual, page 134) has made it in - progress!
Yes, that is back as documented! ✅

We've had the engine coolant temp visible since we bought our R1 hybrid 3 months ago. I don't know if there's a toggle switch, but the guage is horizontal to the left of the maps on the 48 inch screen.

Our seats have been working correctly for about 2 months. I detached the fob from the profile...no help. I reset the phone as a key...that worked. S24 Ultra phone

Thanks! Doesn’t sound like they fixed much of anything I was hoping for then… 😕

If they added a toggle for coolant temp, why would anyone think that is a needed feature? I have always had a coolant bar as described earlier.

The turn signal is loud to me already..

Has anyone seen an OASIS report for their vehicle?

I'd give them credit for it as a "new" item, meaning wasn't there until the update :)

I've been a bit concerned that this release may be more of a behind the scenes update addressing system stability issues, rather than feature bugs or enhancements. So maybe this release is all about fewer screen crashes and connectivity problems (my weather app last updated four days ago). Disappointing if it took nine months for just that. :(

Other bugs

Driver keypad does not illuminate at times

Driver Lock icon sometimes does not lock when touched. Passenger side rock solid (fob on person)

Seat belt message does not disappear

The question is if the 25's still have these issues but the Lincoln may think this is accept

Are you referring to coolant temp guage?
Yes, it sounds like it wasn't there previously, for at least some people.

It might be similar to some other SW type things, where some people had an issue, others didn't. I think of it as perhaps an uninitialized variable, where a coin toss determines how/if a particular item occurs for a given user. We ran into a bunch of those on a big-$ complex project I worked on for several years; that's why some releases were "fixes" vs. "new features".

If so, maybe a prior software update did not install correctly. Maybe one needs to be sure to reflash everything.

Agree. That could well be why they have that reference in the Labor Allowances section to TRON, with the next sentence specifically calling out verifying that there are no outstanding updates to those 3 modules.

Haz said TRON was new app but had no real specifics.
