The big one. Mark ( @markfm ) contacted Haz and he posted it. It is not over the air until 4Q. I wonder how it is letting the customer install themselves unless they mean wait until 4Q.

With the suggested multiple updates, and labor duration allowed, it's probably cleanest to do a visit to the dealer rather than wait for OTA.

I got a kick out of seeing there's a TRON tool 😀

(Build date range has a typo, since builds weren't going on in April 2023. )

It mentions “feature and quality refinements”. I wonder if we will get any new widgets, like Power Flow”

Are there any “release notes” for this update that describe the issues it addresses? Just curious to know what exactly it fixes…

It would be nice to see an OTA sooner rather than later. The memo says the letter mails 10/14 so I expect it to be after that. I would like to see an "install updates" function. Is the delay to get some test time before pushing it to all? I can hear it now. The engineering team can claim they met 3Q but takes a couple days to ready the payload in the systems.

The dealer advantage is they can check everything. I plan a dealer trip in 2 weeks and I have added a battery load check to my request. It seems a lot for an OTA update to complete successfully. I did improve wifi signal in garage. ;)

As for release notes, maybe they want to set low expectations.

So, I had mobile service coming today to do the window recall. I asked them to apply this update and while I didn't get a printout of what was completed, it does seem as though this was successfully installed. He was here about an hour. I have no way of checking version numbers, or any specific immediately-reproduceable glitches, but the system is now significantly more responsive. Time will tell to speak to other usability features.

Any new widgets for the 48” display?

Is there the availability of a Canadian Memo?
I'd expect within a couple days. Per Haz, concerning the US one that he dug up from I know-not-where, as of this morning: " it has not yet been posted to Ford's Professional Technician System(PTS) website. "

I have mine scheduled for next Wednesday to get the update. My dealer knew about the update already and had no problem scheduling me to bring mine into the dealership. They said it would take most of the day to apply the update.

Update:

This morning I found that I had the car put itself in battery saver last night around midnight. Went out to start it: Dead. Unknown if related to above, but something to note.

Sigh...When I go in I want them to do a load test on battery,.

We need more info!! Take the day off from work, play with the system, and report back to us. Thank you.

curious to understand how he did this in 1 hour?

Did he hook up a charger while he did the updates? I read the details from the March CSP and the mechanic was supposed to hook up a charger while it is in process. Just tossing out ideas.

I made an appointment for Tuesday to have this update done, however, as of now, Thursday afternoon, my service advisor does not have the software to download. We're going to touch base before I go in on Tuesday to determine if anything changed.

EDIT - Why does the document above reference two different CSP numbers, 24B54 and 24B09?
