I am not new to Lincoln. I currently am leasing a 2019 Lincoln MKZ hybrid. The lease is up in 3 months.

Looking to buy my next vehicle. I was going to move to Lexus and get the 350NX Hybrid. However, there are no cars to be had and Lexus has stopped production due to the chip shortage.

Lexus is also marking up vehicles $2-$5k. So a loaded Lexus NX would cost me the same (if not more) than a loaded 2022 Corsair GT

There is a loaded GT near me. $62k. Approx. $65k with taxes and fees. Supposedly, the dealership is negotiating prices and NOT marking up the vehicle.

I already know Lincoln is a great brand to drive. Not happy with the depreciation on them, but times are tough right now and if I can get a 2022 Corsair GT with no markup that might be a good thing.

Any thoughts on the 2022 Corsair? Would it be a dependable, enjoyable car that I could own for the next 8-10 years?

Appreciate any thoughts you may have

Good luck. I suggest you read through the likes and dislikes discussion thread.

I joined this forum and one for Mustang and Audi when I was shopping to get the insider view on ownership. I also pulled at FHSA recalls and read even BBB reviews. Corsair GT was ideal for me at this time and I have few regrets. I may move to full EV in a few years, but this is a perfect 2nd car (Explorer is for long trips with lots of gear)

Hey Pabaldeagle! Thanks for replying.

I did some extensive reading here. It always seems as many bad experiences there are, there are equally good.

My concern is over some comments that refer to wind noise over 50MPH. I hope that is not a common issue with the GT. I take it your cabin is very quiet even at high speeds?

I love Lincoln. Have leased them. Did not want to buy one because of the depreciation. However, times are tough right now and I can get a Lincoln for the same price as a Lexus NX (maybe less with their markups) and have it by the time my lease expires.

Test drive one to be sure. A luxury I didn’t have when ordering the first year available. The cabin is very very quiet with some having presumably correctable issues with Sun roofs.

When the ICE kicks in I do notice a vibration in the steering and certainly more sound than when running pure electric but compared to my explorer sport at highway speeds, it’s a church.

Have you looked at the MKZ used? I figured if I dont like the GT, I'll trade out for an MKZ like I have, but I've got equity so I'll have a very small car note.

Got it below the Internet configuration price

Waiting at the dealership for it to finish being prepared.
Picked up the same color 2 weeks ago. Beautiful.

How are you liking yours? Haven’t even driven mine yet as I am still waiting for it at dealerships
I got the Standard model. Didn't g all out as I have other vehicles. Anyway, love it so far. Rides great. Nice and quiet. Good luck.

Thank you and thank you everyone

Hope it holds up for the next 8-10 years

Hi NJRonbo. From what I can see in that photo (which admittedly is not a whole lot ;)), Dana Lincoln seems to be a pretty large and modern Lincoln Dealership?

I've never been there yet. How do you like it? Have you ever purchased there before?

And good luck again.

First time here.

I live in NJ but drove 35 minutes to Staten Island to look at the vehicle. It was the only dealership in a fifty mile radius that had a 2022 Grand Touring.

Really good dealership. Got the vehicle for under the Internet configuration cost. Probably due to my lease return of a 2019 MKZ with only 15,000 miles.

They even threw in all weather floor mats which I asked if they could do.

Very friendly dealership. I would highly recommend them.

Hi NJRonbo. Good to know. They are actually a relatively close Dealership to me also, as the crow flies. I have a few that are more convenient to get to and don't have the inconvenience of having to take the bridges and tolls into Staten Island.
So although I did speak to Dana reps on the phone when I was ready to order my 2018 MKZ, I went with one of the more convenient Lincoln Dealerships, which also gave me my best price.

Let us know what you think of the Service Department, when you have some experience with them. If they are really good, I will give them a more serious look next time.

Good luck!

Won't be using the service department.

I have a Lincoln dealer within walking distance from my house. Would have loved to have purchased from them but there was no stock.

So, some first full-day thoughts on the new Corsair GT...

I like it. Not sure I love it yet.

1. The vehicle makes a "whining" noise at low speeds under 23 MPH. Sounds like it might be the electric motor. It's very audible in the cabin but disappears once you go up to a higher speed.

2. The cabin is not as quiet as my 2019 MKZ was. At highway speeds, it seems there is more noise in the cabin than I would prefer. I have the larger 20" wheels and I wonder if that or the fact this is an SUV is contributing to that factor.

3. Seats get plenty hot which is nice. Heated steering, however, is only the top half of the wheel and not the entire, or so it seems.

4. Revel audio system sounds very good, but like my 2019 MKZ, it has harshness in the treble and the bass could be more "boomy." Still, it's a cut above what you get in most vehicles.
