Corsair Ambient Lighting

I agree they are too low. I added my own under the seats ambient lighting by buying a 3rd party system of 4 light bars that stick under the seats and light up the floor areas really fine. Easy to do.

I'm just doing a comparison to my 2015 MKC - and there is no comparison vs. the 2021 Corsair (the replacement to the MKC). The lighting is so nice in the MKC, and barely visible at it's highest setting in the Corsair.

Keep us updated as I would like to have it brighter when needed. It's too low compared to my previous 2016 Fusion Titanium Hybrid.
I had a 2015 Lincoln MKC with the light beige interior. The ambient lighting was great in it. I now have a 2022 Lincoln Corsair with the light beige interior again. The ambient lighting turned up to the max is VERY dim. I can't even tell it's on, at the bottom of the dashboard as it is a beautiful woodgrain. I don't think there is anything wrong with it, that is just the way it is. It's a bit disappointing.

I agree that the ambient lighting is lower than I desire. So, I easily purchased an LED kit that has 4 12" long LED bars and some long wiring between these 4 bars. The main controller plugs into the cigarette power port in the dash and I ran the wires under the side console so that these 12" bars lay under the from seats as well as under thew front dashboard. You can select any color. The system auto turns off when the Corsair battery management system turns off power to the power ports soon after exiting the vehicle. It is a lot brighter and looks great. It was a cheap purchase and I can post more details and pictures if you desire.

Yes, more information would be great. I would like to look the lights up on the internet to check them out. I would also like to see how you installed them on your dash. Thank you.

Mine seem to be good enough. I agree they could be a little brighter but then again don’t want the car to be a disco either lol. But…..they should make it so when adjusting the ambient lighting slide to brightest it could go brighter if the owner wants it that way

I will take some photos and post by tomorrow. I wonder if there is a way to inquire with Lincoln about increasing the brightness. Do we know if other Lincoln newest models have similar low light levels?

Here is what I did to improve the ambient floor lighting:
I bought this off Amazon:

Installed these strips under the seats and under the dash. All the wires feed up to the box under your dash where the USB ports and power port are located. The middle photo shows this box. The power module plugs into the power port and is turned on/off by pushing the red button. Another control part allows you to change the colors. I chose blue LEDs but you have various options. The power port gets turned off automatically after awhile by the battery control module in the car to prevent battery drain. You can also just turn off the lights via pressing the red lighted button.

I am happy with the subtle level of brightness of the factory ambient lighting. I like a dark cabin for night time driving. If I have forgotten to remove the few used tissues or paper napkins I placed in the driver's door lower storage area, I am surprised how much blue light gets reflected out of the area. It reminds me to put that stuff in the trashcan in the garage when I get home.

LOL, I knew when I typed it, I would get some interesting replies, but this takes the prize for the "Best of the Internet" today! (y)

I always like to pimp it up. I'm a fan of the LEDs for sure. I just wish Lincoln increased the juice on these so we don't have to resort to these 3rd party options. But as I have said before many times on here, I love this car like no other I have ever owned and I'm 68 (although a 15 year old kid at the local grocery thought I was 30!). That made my day. He nearly fainted when he found out I could be his grandpa! LOL.

I know some folks have had issues with their Corsairs but all cars have issues at times. Even if I had issues, I still love the car's look, quietness, MPGs, sound system (OMG), and comfort. Just incredible in my humble opinion/experience.

Go listen to the sound system in the current Generation Acura RDX Advance Trim. THAT is far superior to ours in the Corsair. But at my age, and with some hearing loss, I don't really care anymore.

I guess it depends on ones taste as the Acura RDX Advanced system is not superior to the Revel by my ear as well as many other reviewers. YMMV but neither one of these systems wowed me, nor are they at the front of the class. I will take the Lincoln’s more reliable system over the frustrating Acura’s stereo, though

Yeah, but I would never buy a Toyota or Lexus as I prefer to buy American made and sourced if I can. I would buy one if the plant was here and the content from here. I saw today that the Corsair has 86% American made parts. It's number one in this area and beat Tesla too (they were 75% I think).
