Hi, can anyone tell me who had the wood grain trim if their ambient lighting is this bright (this is a photo I found online, not my car). I know the photo shows the aluminum trim, but mine (wood grain trim) does not look anywhere near that bright even on the doors and floor, etc. In fact, it is very dim and I have it set on highest setting. Just wondering if the very poor/dim lighting is "normal". Thanks.2020_lincoln_corsair_32_1920x1080.webp

Hi tferia. The ambient lighting is not nearly that bright in person. Even on high. Let's just say that photo is likely an "enhanced" photo used for marketing purposes.

Sort of in the same realm as a photo of a quarter pounder with cheese in a McDonalds advertisement looks absolutely nothing like what you get when you go to McDonalds. ;)

Good luck.

Okay, thanks. Makes sense. Do you know how to adjust the brightness? I know how to change the color, but not the intensity.

Hi tferia. Your Corsair's adjustments may be different than my 2018 MKZ, so I would recommend you check your Owners Manual for the specific instructions to adjust the brightness/intensity.

Perhaps another Corsair owner will jump in and help in the meantime.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

Drag the color selections vertically after choosing one. Higher is brighter.

stupid question, but when I open the icon to see all the color selections, any one I choose shows the little color boxes high up on the screen, as if it is already on the brightest setting (see photo example, not my car though). Going by this photo, would this be the highest setting, or can I still drag the icon upwards? Thanks.gf.webp

I believe someone in engineering has set the value of the brightness level way too low. I can say this because I had an MKX and the ambient lighting was very bright everywhere. My new Corsair is very dim. Also you would think someone at Lincoln would have sat in the vehicle at night with that dark brown wood trim and realize the brightness needs to be increased or the woodgrain trim needs to be glossy or lighter. Also who the heck would even use the brightness control? Anything less than full brightness is almost off.

Agree with Chip here, find the low light least distracting while still adding "Ambience". Also prefer the plain white to the funky disco colors.

Moving the color lever up does not increase the lighting intensity. It's either on or off no matter where the lever is located above center. It's the same way on my 2020 Lincoln Nautilus Reserve. I wish there was more intensity to it as it's very dim, almost non existent against the wood trim on the Corsair. It's an expensive feature to pay for (have to get it as a special option package on the Standard or opt for the Reserve or Grand Touring).

Mine adjusts the intensity for all the colors available. 2022 Corsair Resrerve1. Also adjusted on my previous 2021 Corsair Reserve

Thanks for validating that - will make an appointment at the dealer to get it fixed on both vehicles, maybe the intensity will increase once fixed.

I found out from multiple dealers that the ambient lighting intensity is not adjustable via the sliders for each light color - they only turn on and off. If someone thinks this is incorrect, documentation that these do adjust the intensity would be greatly appreciated.

Huh.

Mine do.

2020 Reserve.
Well that's a 2nd person who said they adjust and thank you for validating that - perhaps a Lincoln mechanic or someone with technical documentation can provide info that indicates they should adjust.

My owner's manual says they work the way mine do.

Technically documenty enough?

I see that now - now I can call out the dealers (I'm pretty upset). Thanks for the info!

My wife is pissed about this and says the picture as distributed by Lincoln is false and misleading - mark my word she will get this fixed (don't underestimate the power of a woman lol).

In our vehicle, there are no ambient lights left of the infotainment screen on the dash and the ambient light right of the infotainment screen is on the bottom of the wood trim, not on top as pictured:
