Good Morning to Everyone,
I am new to this Lincoln Forum. I have previously used forums and found them to be a life saver for me and my cars. So, here I am and I have got something that is bugging me, so here is the tale:
I have a 2005 Town Car with 211,000 miles on the car. The car is in actually great shape and the paint will still take wax, but on to the concern. I replaced both door panel ATC motor actuators this last weekend. I have had some issues with the air not coming through as cold, more like 60 degrees. The right side was even warmer. I know that the A/C is working fine under the hood and that the system is working properly. My concern is turning into the dash climate control unit. I am afraid that it might be going out on me.
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
John

Welcome to the Forum.

I am not sure what "replaced both door panel ATC motor actuators" means. There are 5 actuators, 2 for the heat control blend doors, 1 for the fresh air intake, 2 for the mode doors controlling air direction to floor, defrost and panel. Post #13 in this thread: https://lincolnforums.com/forums/threads/10459-Town-Car-EATC-Self-test will lead you through the process for a self test on the EATC (electronic automatic temperature control) module in the dash showing temperature and airflow controls. The test will show 4 digit codes that are explained in the document if a problem exists.

The 2 blend door actuators sound like your problem and are fairly easy to change, dash removal not required. The fresh air intake actuator is also easy to replace. The two mode door actuators for defrost, floor and panel require the dash to be removed. We have the procedures to do those replacements. There are other codes for other EATC issues.

Let us know the results of your self test and we can go from there.

Good luck.
