Sorry guys it’s a 2016 Lincoln reserve MKX with a 3.7 L engine.

Is it shown in the owners manual?

Hey Clarence. As mentioned, there is a fuse specification chart in the Owner's Manual. When checking the chart, look for Power Points, they haven't installed cigarette lighters in vehicles for several years.

I have a 2018 MKX wiring manual. It's information may be helpful to you.
the USB, Power Outlets, and Cigar lighters have separated circuits.

Here is what I found in the Battery Junction Box for now I see that:

The front Power Outlet Socket 1 is F10 20 amp
The front Power Outlet Socket 2 is F16 20 amp
The Cigar Lighter fuse F57 20 amp
The rear Power Outlet Socket F5 20 amp
The rear Power Outlet DC-AC inverter
F81 40 amp

Thanks guys I appreciate it. I’ll look at the the fuses on those locations and as far as cigarette lighter there is two in my car.

They may be located on the fuse block in the extreme upper drivers side under the dash - a nightmare to reach.

Any luck Clarence? I've found that high current fuses are usually located in the engine bay fuse box, but I'm not familiar with the MKX.

Yes guys I apologize I did find a blown fuse. I replaced it and for some insane reason it keeps blowing out. I don’t know what’s making a bowl that’s my next thing to do.

The fuse is an electrical safety device. (prevents fires. And fires mean a bad day is coming)
Typically a fuse gets old and pops or there is a momentary short to ground. Fuse pops.

What you are describing is a continous connection between the positive side of the circuit to ground. That wiring issue HAS to be repaired before moving on. The wiring diagram would be a valuable resource for this kind of issue.

It doesn’t pop soon as I put it in. It takes days before I go out or Pop.

OK I would that is a little more difficult to find. And it is likley the same reason. Just on a more of an intermittent basis. Something hot in that circuit is exposed and connects to a ground under acertain or random circumstance.

Cigar lighters that are used may contain debris that can cause that in the lighter assembly.

There isn't a specific thing that one can point to and say, replace that. Some one has to inspect and find the issue.

Great thanks for the update. I’ll take my air blower and blow it out and see what happens and if it’s the other way and I’ll just replace it. Thanks for the reply.

It appears that it may be something shorting out due to the movement of the vehicle. Possibly the covering of a wire has worn through.

It’s very hard to try to find a wire that shorting I don’t have that knowledge

That is true for most people and technicians as well. I only suggested it as a possibility since the issue seems to be intermittent. I'm guessing when it does blow the fuse, it happens during a drive and not when sitting parked..

I checked it and for some reason when you leave the charger plugged into the cigarette lighter it stays on constant it never goes off so if I unplug it when I’m not using it, it seems to be OK so I think that will be my best solution is to just not use it when I don’t need it and it saves money on fuses

I just want to say thank you to all you guys. You’ve been more than helpful and solving problems that I’ve had with my new Lincoln MK ex I appreciate it and if I can help anyone, please don’t hesitate to send me a question. Thank you, Clarence.
