as the title states im looking to see if theres enough people GI to start or make a chat like room so we don't flood the other forums on here and just limit that to one area.

If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1998 Town Car" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1998 Town Car" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... thanks Town i hope so to, the chat room i have on a different forum has a box at the top of the main page and you chat in there, but i know each forum is different, and has different rules an regulations about things.
Thank you for pointing me to this discussion, Rey... So by Lincoln Town Car, I'm guessing we're talking about the Lincoln Town Car. Correct? If so, I'm a little confused because we already have a dedicated Lincoln Town Car area... Now when it comes to discussing other makes and models (besides Lincolns) - we can use the "General Discussion" area. No? Would you prefer a "General Automobile Discussion" area for ONLY car discussion? As far as "chat rooms" are concerned, if we're talking about "traditional" chat rooms, I don't set those up because there's often great and/or important/informative discussion that goes on in them - but the information isn't retained - which is what makes forums so nice. I don't want to have people going into the "chat room" to get help with their vehicle and then have somebody come the next day with the same problem and not get help because the "chat" happened the day before - whereas if the discussion was had in the "forum", all the information would be right there laid out for him/her...

that sounds like a good idea, i really like the ideas you have about this, really hope we can get some close to the one in discussion set up so we can come in chat and not have to worry about flooding the forums. As of now it would be just Lincoln Town Car (Lincoln town car) related I.E tips ideas or general conversation. I see that gene and sal approve of this so what would be the next steps to get this in motion? Thanks again.
