B pillar trim looks awful. How do I fix?

The black started coming off when the car was nearly new. It really looks bad; the rest of the car is in awesome shape. What's the best way to fix this?

Just remove the trim and scuff it so all the shine is gone. Then get some metal primer and prime it. Read the instructions on your primer can, and once dry spray some Gloss black paint on all of them. For a more durable finish, use a two part paint (base coat and clear coat). Let it cure, then re-install on the car. Did it with my 2001 Ford Focus, and it really made the car look younger.

a quick sand with 120grit, some primer, some high gloss black paint (or what ever colour you want). problem solved.

same thing happened to mine, I gave it a quick sand down to bare metal, and used 'plasti-dip' as the paint, no primer needed. looks brand new.

-sanded with fine sandpaper.
-cleaned from dust and degrease.
-and you can paint directly from the spray without a primer.

covers, possible, not remove from a car, but the other auto parts should be sealed with masking tape. over a wide area.
if you did not do it , covers should be removed from auto.
