Audio Delays

I recently purchased a 21 Nautilus Reserve with the Revel audio system. This is my first Lincoln, but I have owned several Ford Edges, which are pretty comparable. I've noticed that when using the audio 15- or 30-second skip buttons, either on the steering wheel controls or on the screen itself, there is a delay of a few seconds before anything happens. There is also an issue with audio syncing to video when I'm watching videos on my phone, which I often do on my lunch breaks, and it's kind of annoying.

In the Edges that I've had in the past, my last one being a 2019 ST with a B & O stereo that I owned just before I bought the Nautilus, I never had an issue like this. I'd press the skip buttons and it would immediately skip the audio back or ahead and the audio syncing was spot on with videos.

Does anyone know if there is a way that I can fix this or is it just something I'll have to live with?

The audio lagging for video playing on your phone is a limitation of Bluetooth latency. This will affect all vehicles that use Bluetooth, if you change to USB input, your audio should drastically improve as its a much faster technology. This has been a thing since MyFord Touch (back in my 2016 Ford Fusion) and even after upgrading to SYNC 3 it still was a problem. Still happens with my SYNC 4 system in my Nautilus. Its just Bluetooth. As far as the skipping playback goes, have you tried switching inputs, say AM/FM or USB, or SXM? Does it work faster then? If so, the limitation would be the signal getting from your steering wheel, through the vehicle network, to the SYNC system then sending via Bluetooth to your phone. Probably the bluetooth lagging since the other inputs worked fine.
