Another Update Hit My 24 Nautilus

I was assuming the 24 in the version was year of model.
I don't think so. I also got an update the other day on my 2024. It was tagged as ECG-25.2.8.4.1

The same update also came out for '25 Explorer, which shifted to AAOS.

Yesterday, I was notified in my car about the pending update mentioned just above. It offered me the chance to perform the update NOW, so I did that while watching (and listening to the car make lots of beeps, buzzes, whirs, etc.). Then I drove to the store. When I came out of the store a little while later I was notified that a second update occurred while I was in the store. That update was for the Body Control Module (BCM 24.6.1). Screen shot attached for that one....

I wonder how they decide who, what, and when regarding updates.

Eeny, meeny, miny, moe.... Way too technical to even begin to describe or rationalize...

We got an update delivered to the vehicle last night. We rarely get OTA updates. Excitedly, I opened Lincoln Way like a kid on Christmas morning. It was BCM 24.6.1, the update that's supposed to improve key fob responsiveness. This update was reported received by fellow forum members as far back as May 4th (MTFBWY). Is that how far behind we are? We received only one other update since May.

There must be a bottleneck somewhere such as some server that cannot much of a workload.

I'm pretty sure that I've had this update applied more than one time to my car over the past few months. It could be that a different update triggered this one to be needed again for some reason. Although that's not good software release management. It's also possible that internally Lincoln may issue releases that are tracked beyond the 3 "digits" of 24.6.1 and only show us the 3 digits. So we may have gotten 24.6.1.1. Who knows. Since they don't publish any helpful release note documentation to their customers, it's a black box process.

I have had an update attempt every day for the last 3 months. I get the warning that it will apply today every single day. It fails when I attempt to update now.
I have to make a dealer appointment at some point.

There is another big software update headed for our cars. My 2024 is currently installing this one over-the-air in my garage. It popped up a message saying it would install tonight or I could do it now if I wanted. Takes 25 minutes. Details in the photos. This is my third update in the last week, but the first 2 were the minor ones mentioned in the previous recent posts above.

That is what I got earlier but did not see all the details.

Here are some more screen shots showing the effects on the console after the update mentioned 2 posts prior.... I also now can't seem to reboot my car by pressing the volume button for 10 seconds and releasing it. I think I read somewhere that this is now done via some other button sequence. I'll be researching that. I like an occasional reboot.

This is the second update to be labeled "Software Update 11". But it is 2 different updates. I think they are actually meaning we are operating major Version 11 and they have now updated it twice.
Bizarre.

Google search finds a 2nd option, does not state that this is new:
  • Method 2: Press the power button five times
    • As an alternative, you can quickly press the audio system's power button five times in a row to initiate the reboot.

I had tried the 5 push method and nothing happened. It was mentioned in a tsb a while back.

I just did it successfully using 5 quick press-and-releases. I think it must be done within 7 seconds. So quickly.
