My Lincoln
2017 lincoln continental reserve 2.7tt
I know we have a car that has a lot of unique parts, the suspension seems to be one of them, I have 127k miles on the original S and S.... and I need to replace, but the dealer wants 3700 to 4k for that that seems rediculous! yes I know I spelled it wrong!

I see on ebay and Amazon some whole sets that are in the 300 to 600 range but no brand name....

does anyone have any experience with using these chinese brands, I mean where are the motorcraft ones made?

Dealer quotes, whether for parts or service, need to include some very spendy real estate costs and franchise fees.

I don't think there's much to changing struts and shocks that require special tools or software, beyond perhaps a calibration procedure that can be found in service manuals.

I have not heard any success stories with aftermarket parts satisfying the electronic controls, but would love to know... Consider getting Motorcraft parts from an online seller and a local garage for the installation, just make sure they research any calibration before they start.

And if you think Ford/Lincoln dealer service is expensive, stay away from German cars.

Best,
- Jeff
