Got a slick, all original 1983 Lincoln Continental Mark VI Bill Blass, very clean car. Running 2BBL carb on 302/AOD.
Got some running issues, surging idle, hard starting cold or hot, high idle when cold and it smells RICH!!
I'm thinking of ditching the 2bbl and replacing the intake and carb with a newer 4bbl setup. I also have some plans for a freer flowing exhaust, as this thing is a dog.
Opinions on this idea? Also i know i need some sort of adapter to hook up the TV/kickdown cable to the new 4bbl. Is anyone familiar with a product? Any other issues i may encounter? Recommend size of carb? Some insight on the project would be great.
