360 camera recall halts sales

Keep in mind that it spent several months just sitting in a lot in Chicago while Ford was trying to resolve the 360-degree rear camera issue. I believe that as long as you have an active order in the system, you can extend your current lease until the new one is delivered.

Yes that’s true. That’s good to know! I currently have it extended until December and I believe they did say I can extend it another two months after that if needed. Hopefully I won’t have to do that but at least I have the option.

That’s so crazy!! When did you finally receive it? I’m debating on if I should order winter tires for it but I don’t want to spend the money if it won’t even make it here this winter. Hopefully now that the strike is over it’ll get finished and I’ll get it soon

I am in the same boat as you...tracking wouldn't work and I assumed it was because we placed it through our dealer. Then tonight I thought I'd check the modules and boom! They were there. Checked my Lincoln App and it brought up a vehicle. And now the tracking link works too.

My blend date was Sept 29, the day they went on strike which was unfortunate because my vehicle was stolen from our dealership back in May, and I really miss nice things! I did pre-order winter tires because...we live in Canada. Lol.

Dealers sometimes have special offers on winter tire packages for your vehicle. Tracking should work, if the system is running, right up to the time that the vehicle has been delivered to the dealership. I'm not sure what you mean by "modules". Are you referring to the various stages of production on the tracking site? BTW, I'm taking mine in this afternoon to have the winter tires installed. They are the same ones that I used on my previous 2020 Aviator. I've given up buying the actual wheels/rims since Ford/Lincoln has a habit of changing sizes. I lease my vehicles.

Yes, I had been trying to use that one and it kept showing an error and telling me to contact the dealer, which is why I assumed that my VIN was not applicable.

Mine was like this for a bit as well. I kept try and one day it just started working. Keep trying it and hopefully it’ll start to work

Yeah it was so strange but I’m glad I’m able to check for updates now. I’m so impatient and want my vehicle like yesterday I’m just grateful I was able to extend my lease so I can keep my current vehicle.

Nothing has even been mentioned to me about blend date.. never even heard of it . Oh my goodness! No way!! That’s just horrible. Hopefully you’ll receive it soon. I know I probably should look into getting some winter tires as well we already have snow here and will probably have it until April. Winters are long and cold here so definitely going to need some but I have a feeling I won’t see my vehicle until 2024 at this point so don’t know if I should order them or not

The resolution to the recall was, I believe, found in August. It was to replace the camera and software which Ford has been doing since then on the vehicles that had been built and were parked in Chicago awaiting the fix. The status of mine changed to "Built" on August 31st, meaning that the camera had been replaced.

My screen goes gray, not blue or black. Fortunately, not very often but annoying for sure. My VIN recall status is "recall incomplete, remedy not yet available".
Curious to hear from others about status of their recall. And also, do others see a gray screen (not blue or black)? Lastly, for those who had the recall performed (new hardware) did it fix the issue?

My recall disappeared right after the status changed to "Built". I know that parts are now available to dealers but the quantity of them seems to be very limited at this time. The 2020 leased Aviator I returned when I picked up the 2023 on Oct. 2nd is being advertised as being for sale but it can't be actually sold until the camera recall on it is completed. I never had the camera issue on the 2020.

I feel like I’m driving the poor sale people crazy asking for updates. I add a few options to it like the jet package (obsessed with the blacked out option) and illumination package as well. I know I had to do the same, I guess they are removing the modules for the lift gate and there was one more but I can’t remember what it’s called. I’m going to miss the lift gate option for sure!! It’s super convenient when you have your arms full and can’t hit the button. Did you add main options to your aviator? I currently have a nautilus and I love it but we need something bigger and I’m super excited to get my aviator whenever that may be I think you’ll really enjoy the perks of Lincoln! It’s my main reason for sticking with a Lincoln, the service is absolutely amazing and extremely convenient.

In Canada, the vehicles usually have options included in a package that are optional in the U.S. version Also, AWD is usually included in the Canadian models. For the ST, only the 401A package is available while in the U.S. the packages are 400A and 401A. Package differences also apply to Lincoln.
My Aviator had the Luxury Package included in the 401A equipment group while it was a standalone option in the U.S.
