'24/'25 Nautilus Widget Updates?

You can tell I’m waiting for an appointment and just posting away here today. Lol.

I also noticed that the animations for weather are paused when the car is in motion. I assume this is to cut down on distraction. Though the fuel widget and compass have animation while driving.

For weather going from animation to static. You can see it in my link around 11 seconds where is change into gear then resumes back in park.

Also. Forgive my movie ability and the bad focus. I realize I don’t have the hand to film amazing cinematography:)

My car was picked up today for an oil change and I asked that the APIM module be updated. I don’t have my car back yet, but per my service rep, the new widgets are showing up after the update. That’s nice that there is some progress on this front!

I am using the new version of the clock and the compass on my screen. I don’t care for the new weather version, so I keep the old version up there.

If you have latest APIM, you should see the digital clock and compass widgets in the selector for what is displayed in the right side 24" screen, correct?

From a quick check, it sounds like APIM also handles things related to the navigation volume, where I have the problem of changed volume not being retained. Perhaps that real, reproducible, issue would then help me push local Dealer to update to latest APIM firmware...

I have the latest APIM update and it does not fix the volume issue you mentioned

Do you have that, too, adjusting volume while Maps speaks changes back to its original volume the very next time it gives directions?

Did they open a TAC case for your car on this?

I have the issue you d describe. They did not open a TAC for me. They just ignore the issue. No one at Lincoln seems to care about this issue. Also this forum is very silent about this

My selling dealer got a TAC opened on it. I'll be bringing it back to my local dealer to pick up the follow-on (seller is too far away to continue schlepping out to).

Please let us know what happens

Thanks

I could say we don't have this problem, but the truth is we've always configured the guidance audio off in all our equipped vehicles.

I like the verbal prompts, but typically run them at a low volume. Their preset level is louder than we play music, so kind of annoying.

I can’t say I’ve noticed any issues with the navigation guidance audio at least lately. I do use the navigation frequently. Lately my car has been working pretty flawlessly. I think I am up to date on all the updates. I can’t remember the last time I had to do a manual reboot. For whatever reason, I find the car works better with my new iPhone than it did with my old Samsung S22. I use phone as key almost exclusively without issues. I had a few issues with S22.

I join this forum specifically for the prompts volume issue. If anybody finds a fix, please let me know! That bugs me every day!

I just got my one month Nautilus quick survey. I rated it a 2, flagging 1) rapid 12V battery depletion, 2) Google Maps directions volume not staying at the new level when I change it while Maps is giving directions, and 3) that it's obvious I had not been updated to latest available software at time of pickup.

Selling dealer tried to brush (2) off, that it must be the speed-adaptive volume - that's not it. They did end up opening up a TAC - I need to go to my local dealer to do follow-up, have them pull the thread on the TAC. Selling dealer is too far away to keep trotting out there whenever Lincoln comes up with a suggestion.

All 3 items may go together. Perhaps the selling dealer had "tried" to update software, but it was a failed installation.
-If battery drain known patches didn't apply properly that could explain part of the battery depletion, though it may be classic sulfation reducing the true capacity.
-Likewise (2) and (3) - maybe the selling dealer didn't follow correct sequencing, or simply "missed" updating all modules impacted.

On the 12V, after a month I've collected enough data to be confident that it really does have issues - I can drive it long enough, or trickle charge it, to get it up to a "nominal" full charge, but it drops pretty rapidly. I've been careful to top it off every couple days, but the discharge curves (SOC/voltage) definitely indicate either a high unintended parasitic draw or that the battery really has nowhere near it's nominal 50AH capacity.

(A wonderful vehicle to drive, barring the really annoying Maps volume, truly comfortable, very good gas mileage.)

All real and valid issues regardless of how or why. Lincoln needs to fix all this.

@markfm, have you tried disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes (or longer) to reset everything.

In your case, they should reflash the APIM but dealer would not do it unless Lincoln pays for it.

I did notice that after some recent google updates, I no longer see last two recent trips on maps. It just shows the search window. If you click, it will show recent trips,

I noticed the removal of recent trips too on home screen. Though as of yesterday noticed there is now a button representing work and home to push when going to work verses coming home. A briefcase for work and a home symbol. It is just one button that shows up next to search.

Has anyone else noticed it on their end?

Maybe that is why Google tried to get me to set a work address for the first time a coupe of days ago.

Based on the lack of the new/updated widgets I'm definitely not on latest software.

I've not seen any OTA notices since pickup on 6/19, nor noticed any Google updates having come in. I have the vehicle connected to our home WiFi, solid signal.

I've only ever gotten one set of Alerts on Lincoln Way. I've never seen any notices about going into sleep mode when the car was going into quite low SOC, computers had been shutting down (e.g., door keypad dead), Concierge said I was at 48% SOC. The cats-and-dogs nature of the 7/18 set would be consistent with another low battery day (I've had multiple low battery days).

Once I get a body item taken care of next week, I'll definitely schedule a service visit with my local dealer. The TAC that was generated through the seller dealer about the Google Maps directions audio level should provide a proper "hook" for them to pick up support, along with the oddball 7/18 alert set.
