2025 Navigator

We are in the beginning of March, almost 60 days from start of production, anyone have any tangible updates? Don't see any first drives, previews or anything as of late. At the beginning of production, some dealers made youtube posts when testers arrived, but no real updates.

On Saturday they were just cleared "Ready to buy". Shipping arrangements are taking place now. Ive heard this from my dealer & a poster on the Expedition Forum that has a family member involved in the rollout. That poster also had the family member send him pics of his expedition on the line which he posted

I just spoke to one of the sales managers at Fair Oaks in Naperville, IL. He said they got that message yesterday, and he expects to see the first arrivals late March to early April.

Isn't that pretty normal with a redesign that requires a shut down and retooling of the plant, etc.?

they are built sitting in a lot. Hundreds of them. So they are simply waiting on shipping, that’s why I said a month seems excessive

I'm in no hurry with mine... I may be alone in that sentiment, but I'd rather have a new one with little/no trouble, vs. one that has to continually go back to get fixed... especially since I do NOT have a local Lincoln Dealer within 90 miles of my location!

Not an expert, but I was told when I ordered my 2019 Raptor, since it was a model refresh, the first ones built sat in lots until the "Government" came to inspect them and clear them for shipment. That may be what is happening with the Navigators. Once cleared, the ones built later shipped first as they were the ones closest to the "exit" and the first ones built were last to ship out.

There is definitely a hold on all Navigators being shipped from the plant. The Expedition was cleared but not the Navigator.
On the production side of things the plant is back to building as many as possible per shift. They have even cut production of the Super Duty by 150 trucks per shift to make room for the extra Navigator & Expedition being built for the last couple of weeks.

Now for why they are being held. I honestly don't know because they are normally very tight on that information unless it's a parts issue and it's not. That still doesn't mean you should worry because this is a very normal process that happens almost every single new redesign and this is their Flagship Vehicle.
If it was a major issue holding them back then production would not have been increased over the last few weeks.
If I find some concrete trustworthy information about the reason I will pass it along.

I did see on reddit, that someone mentions quality issues... probably typical of a new model... especially, sadly, with Ford.

I ordered one and it went into production in early Feb but then was told by Lincoln it is delayed. Spoke with my dealer today and he confirmed the Navigator completed production but is on hold now due to a quality issue. I was told it is due to an issue with a piece of trim but not sure if that is true.

I don't understand how people want to get the first vehicles off the line on a new generation. It takes the line months to perfect the manufacturing process.

They loaded a bunch of videos.

I am finally able to see my Navi on the Lincoln App today... even though it's not done being built. Exciting for sure... just hoping by the time I get mine, all the kinks are worked out and it's ready to roll!

Idk why the algorithm is so bad for nav vids in youtube. None off those vids popped up when I searched lincoln navigator. Only way I saw it was to search lincoln and scroll past videos they uploaded years ago.

Navigator reserve jet pkg, no rear console, tow package. Order confirmed 10/31, build date was scheduled for week of 3/3, just went into production today.
Just got this order update:

Thank you for choosing Lincoln. We wanted to update you on the status of your Lincoln Navigator order. While production of your vehicle was projected to begin the week of March 3, 2025, we have unfortunately experienced unexpected delays.

Rest assured, our team is diligently addressing these challenges to complete your vehicle as soon as possible. We genuinely appreciate your understanding and patience during this time and will continue to provide regular updates every step of the way.

Go the very same... that's okay... just get it done right before they give them to us... it sucks,, but it would suck MORE to get a car that has to go into the dealership right away.. esp. when my closest Lincoln Dealer will be 90 miles away!

100% in agreement! Just sharing updates as I get them in case there are some other lurkers here (as I was prior to my first comment).

@Rinsky any word on the street as to what parts are causing the delays? More out of curiosity than anything.

Then it throws 50 fake AI videos at you + ones titled 2025 with older models.

OK... So both of you originally had a Build date of 3/3. Both moved up a couple of days to "In Production" 2/26 and 2/27. Now today (3/13) you get a delayed notice! Why even send you the "In Production" notice early if delayed.
Is it possible that it was built and being delayed only while it waits on QC in the lot? From what i see on this forum it only takes a few days to build. This new "Delay "notice comes 14 days after your Production notice? It just seems odd!
