2025 Navigator

I noticed it when I entered my vehicle at 11:45. The service department closed at noon. I have an appointment for Monday

I have the exact same issue. Of course it happens on the hottest day of the year so far.
Worth disconnecting the battery cable for 15 or so minutes to see if it helps while you're waiting for your appointment.

Was driving to Indy today from NE IL. Saw a Platinum 2025 Expedition rental on I-65. I guess it is not surprising that Ford/Lincoln would produce vehicles for rental companies vs individuals buying at dealerships. I would guess customers have the same issues with Expys that y'all are having with production delays. Should have had Avis buy your Navs for you.

The 2025 Expy looked nice.

Just got my ‘25 Navigator Jet Appearance … as a person that purchased this $100k SUV for my 3 Golden Retrievers, I made a huge mistake….

There is a hump from the 2nd to 3rd row … it’s not flat despite what Ford says… and getting into the car is horribly small using the passenger doors … especially compared to the Escalade where the 2nd row goes and folds forward.

i have always been a Ford person thru and thru, but they whiffed on this one and I was dumb enough to believe a Navi can compate with an Escalade. It can’t…

Beyond bummed and now will look to mitigate my loss by dumping it and going to a Caddy…. my wife’s 23 Caddy is way better than this 25 Navi in about every category except the transmission… as they are about the same.

Anyone in the market for a 25 Navi, all Black? I will give you a deal👍

Oh wow. Funny how a features function can drastically be perceived depending on lifestyle. My wife hates the tumble seat, especially with us trying for baby.
Also, it was hugely more simple to put ppl in the third row of our nav than my dads caddy. However, our dogs entry was never an issue with the current nav setup. With you having multiple big dogs and using it less for people carrying, I could see how functionally it doesn't meet your needs.

Outside of the rear access and cargo floor, what else is wrong with it? Also, what is the caddy superior at since you have both? I ask because, outside of ride comfort, the 4th gen competed very well to the caddy, but it sounds like you feel the 25 got worse. We haven't driven a nav yet, but my wife likes the expy over everything including the 25 tahoe, 25 armada, and 25 qx80 for now. Im trying to get her back to back seat time but its still kind of hard.

You could try and trade while it's new for a 25 escalade. That way wifey and you could be twinzies. Or you could look for a different suv like a grand wagoneer, though I would think your primary concern would persist with that as well. Sounds like the new escalade is your actual calling lol. Good luck to you.

When I think of 2nd and 3rd row seats folding flat... I am thinking they fold flat at the same height between them like my previous Explorer and Expeditions.
However, the 2nd row flat is several inches higher than the 3rd row flat.

I still haven't looked at a navigator, but the dealer said one came in so we're gonna try and look at it Monday. I did look at an expedition today and yea, the 2nd row seat does sit about an inch higher than the third row. But wouldn't your dogs only be in the third row cargo area? I can't imagine them being on the back of the second row, especially if yours has the cpt chairs.

I have 3 pretty good sized Golden Retrievers, so that difference in height, is an issue because of how all 3 lay in the cargo area.
I guess I am more bummed by how tight it is to try and get them into the back of the SUV, because the 2nd row seats really don't move much at all when tilted forward. It's tight... esp. compared to what GM does with their seats flipping and folding forward.

The Nav and Expedition have that "bump" because it gives humans much more comfortable leg room in the 3rd row than any GM product. Guessing Ford/Lincoln is okay with that.

Apparently so.

Apparently so.

Probably because most ppl will feel it's sufficient. The floor is still flatter than most everything, its just now unevenly flat. I should've drove an Escalade today, so many at the gm dealer, but like I said before, my dad has one and it doesn't look like anything but the screen and console changed. I like the prerefresh looks more.

When your dogs are your life, it is! :)

Understood.

We had two Goldens for several years and they were wonderful traveling companions. Well, most of the time anyways. ;)
