My Lincoln
2025 Lincoln Aviator Reserve
Hello Lincoln owners. I have another issue with my brand new Aviator. I’ve owned it for one month now, 2600 miles. Built and ordered, took delivery end of December.

I already have paint chips on the hood and front bumper. I live in a place that has perfect clean roads in Florida. None of my previous manufacturer cars chipped like this. I’m very dissatisfied with the quality of paint Lincoln is using on my $80,000 Aviator. Anyone else seeing this?

If its white or a few other colors, then it's not just Lincoln. PPG and other car paint mfrs have had to change the ingredients...AGAIN...due to EPA. I think this latest change happened in the last 5yrs. PPG states car companies aren't prepping the steel correctly for this newest water based paint, so maybe it's not the paint company's fault.

The best, longest lasting and highest gloss paint in my opinion was oil based with lead before the 1980's....but I don't miss the increase in learning disabilities, alzheimers, autism, insanity and other mental issues that chemicals, especially lead, gave us. So I understand why the EPA and european regulators are doing this.

Mine is black. I shouldn't have 6+ rock chips showing white after 1 month of ownership. That tells me the clear coat is paper thin and weak. I would expect that on something not at this price range.

FYI. Continuing around the entire body. Very disheartening for the price.
