My Lincoln
2025 Aviator
Hi, we have a 2025 Aviator that we now have to "double function" the door switch, pressing it twice, in order to get in or out of the car. I'm wondering if something was accidently hit or pushed to do this & would like to put it back to "single function" operation, having to press switch once. I looked in owner's manual & vehicle controls without any luck. Any suggestions? I'm hoping I'm missing something simple. TIA

Welcome to the Forum. 👋
I'm not sure what you mean by having to press the door switch twice to get in. Does the Lincoln Embrace feature not unlock the doors? I think the "switch" is built into the back of the door handle.
A few times when getting out, I think I've encountered the situation in not having the door open with the first press but it rarely happens. I just thought I didn't press the button hard enough.

I have the same issue on my 2025 Reserve. I have to press the release button twice, consecutively, whether from inside or outside to open the door. I bought the vehicle new in December of 2024. I only recall this being an issue in the last few months….

If they made this a permanent change they did with an over the air software update, that is very disheartening, as are all the other weird issues I’ve had since day one!

As mentioned before, I've had the same issue occur a few times, where I have to press the inside door release button twice, but I don't have an outside release button. I just pull the door handle to open the door. I don't consider the 2X press inside to be a problem.
