2024 Nautilus trailer hitch

I ordered the DIO tow package when I ordered my vehicle. My sales rep showed me photos of vehicles they had done for other customers. It looked very clean and professional. Mine will be installed before I take delivery along with my front/rear dashcam and splash guards.

I called the owner of the dealership and had a very nice conversation. He advised me that a refund check was in the mail. Got it on Saturday the 22nd of June.
Congratulations. I'm happy you got this resolved to your satisfaction.

Our dealership just installed a factory hitch on the new RAV Naughty and again, they did a great job with the installation. The handsfree sensor was moved from center to center left and still works well when doing the foot kick under the bumper. They did a clean job of cutting the plastic and adding the additional new coverings and hitch receiver. I am not a fan of the high pricing, considering it's only Class 1, or the decision to not install this during the factory build. But, we only use it primarily for our 2/4 mountain bike rack and it works well and does not wobble at all.

You could buy one of these.

I got one about 15 years ago, wired it all up with a tail light package, and used it for a couple of years carrying stuff home from Home Depot and other places. But then I got sick and since couldn't really handle the 60 lb weight of it — and my wife certainly won't. So it's been hanging in my garage for the last 10 years or so. I know one day the rope will rot and anything under it will be history (hopefully not me). 😄

Dealer installed means that the hitch doesn’t comply with either a market or some other issue. Manufacture prefer to install at Port or production. Think of it this way, manufacture prefers to keep the $$ and control the process.

Sounds like there was a marketing question if people were going to have accessories (bike racks, etc.. and want the hitch). If you look at say Navigators, they pretty much have HD tow, from factory)

Does it have a 2" receiver or is it 1"? Many Class 1 hitches have 1" receivers.
Great point and that is very true. Happy to report that they are still 2" receivers!!! Good thing as our bike rack is 2" and I would never want to use a reducer.

I asked for a refund when I took delivery of the vehicle. Hitch was not on hand and did not arrive at the dealership for 60 days. Was told can't issue a credit since it is listed on the window sticker. Horse Hockey. I don't want to take the hitch and store it. I checked with the Lincoln used car manager for the value on the hitch when traded and it was $168.00. Not worth keeping it laying around. I understand it's a large box of parts and items needed to install. I called several local hitch dealers and not one of them was interested in buying it at any price.. It's a class 1 hitch so not very heavy duty.
If you still have the hitch I would be interested in buying it.

I’m the same position as you. I need a trailer hitch for my 2024 Nautilus and need to have it installed. Please contact me and I will make you an offer on the hitch.
Hope to hear from you. Gary L

U-haul is now showing a hitch is available for the 24 nautilus for $249. Anyone have this?

Etrailer has one for about the same price. I imagine there will be many options available in the aftermarket websites.

Remember that if you have the hands free liftgate, you'll need to buy a kit for repositioning the sensor if you install any hitch — whether it be a Lincoln or aftermarket hitch.

The hitch itself is a class 3 hitch with the 2" receiver capable of 3500 lb capacity, but it is the chassis of the vehicle itself that limits the towing capacity of the Nautilus.
The smaller Corsair with the same drivetrain has a 3500 lb capacity because the materials used for the chassis and subframe components are far stronger than the materials used on the chinese Nautilus.
