2024 Nautilus software and battery issues

Recalls 24P08 and 24P14 are supposed to fix the parasitic drain issues and my dealer just performed them on my 2024 Nautilus Hybrid today. It was in the shop because my auto detailer let the battery go dead and after recharge the entry door switch would not recognize the fob (I could unlock by pressing the fob button), everything else worked and profiles remained. The dealer fix for this fob issue was...
"VERIFIED CUSTOMERS CONCERN. CHECKED OASIS FOR TSB'S, FSA'S AND SSM'S NONE PRESENT AT THIS TIME. PERFORMED A VISUAL INSPECTION, NO OBVIOUS CONCERNS FOUND. PERFORMED A BODY/CHASSIS/ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SELF TEST, DTC U3003 IS PRESENT. PERFORMED PPT A IN SECTION 414-01 UNDER
"BATTERY CONDITION TEST. A1-YES, BATTERY PASSED THE CONDITION TEST AND TOPPED OFF. PERFORMED BATTERY MONITOR RESET THEN RE-TESTED VEHICLE FOR PROPER OPERATION. THE PASSIVE ENTRY SYSTEM OPERATES PROPERLY FROM THE DRIVERS DOOR AT THIS TIME. PERFORMED FINAL QUICK TEST AND CLEARED DIC'S."

I have now installed a NOCO Genius10 at the battery (in cargo area of my hybrid) and run the extension through one of the holes in the spare tire, across the top of the tire (under the removable cargo floor), and exit just behind the driver's rear seat (held in place between the velcro on the cloth cover behind the rear seat). When needed, I pull the extension out through the curved part of the rear door (not bottom as it crimps the cord too much), fully shut the door, and connect the extension to the NOCO. IMPORTANT...do NOT connect the negative lead directly on the negative battery post. Make the connection at the nut on the negative bracket on the other side of the BMS (Battery Management System) chip from the negative post. That way, the charge goes through the chip and accurately maintains the BMS. There's easy access to an open bolt on the positive side bracket. I like running the cord out the drivers rear door (rather than under the hood), so I can't miss it when getting in the car and driving away.

All these high-tech vehicles with internet access for over-the-air updates and other electronic demands will drain a battery in no time if sitting too long and/or just repeated short trip driving. Hope this helps some and if you have any questions...just let me know.

I just connect under hood.

I thought 24P08 was on hold. Is that not the case anymore?

I was told all the recalls were performed (including 24B23...the injector issue), but in double-checking the invoice on 24P08, it says; "No action taken, FSA has been halted due to software issues". My bad...thanks for catching this!

I would guess that since the 3Q update is due this quarter we will not likely see any new software CSPs before this update is released.

I have a Reserve 3 and after one week, I took my car into the dealership because they have indicated there were a couple of recalls. One dealing with the infotainment system and the other with something about the dynamic something or another. I have to take my car back in tomorrow because the infotainment system still has problems. I will post the recalls done on my car for everyone's perusal but I am losing confidence in this car at the moment. Oh, my injector mode was done before I took delivery of the car and so far, no battery drain at this point.

The "dynamic" item is probably this, one of a couple items Lincoln has been working related to potential battery drain areas. It's a "no letters sent to buyers" item (meaning it would generally get done when someone was already bringing their car in for something else) - your dealer is being good by reaching out to you (proactive).

Given the hybrid is just 50AH, the current draw when off would need to be very low but still tasked withl having to communicate via 5G, wifi, and bluetooth respond to a fob command or when it enters the low frequency field for the approach light show.

Understanding where something is generating parasitic draws is where access to the fuse box helps, as that provides a clean way to add a current tap on a given fuse, or to simply pull it to see if they get a drop in overall power consumption. For instance F76 is the driver status camera monitor module - being able to check that would allow seeing if it's a significant drain for a given vehicle. (the software update that's on hold for now.)

(I know this is Lincoln's job to take care of, but some people like to check things.)

Thanks for the info. However, the infotainment system is giving me so many headaches at the moment. I am in the process of diagnosing it but it looks like when streaming music, my Google Pixel and the Google Android system on the infotainment system are fighting to be the President of the system. I actually watched my phone media constantly switch between phone and Lincoln on the bluetooth media. So, my music stream cuts out, stops, goes slow, etc. Very annoying to be honest. Still working on it.

When the 3Q software update comes, I wonder if it will be deployed in two parts; OTA and requiring a visit to the dealer. The infotainment updates (what runs on top of google services) may be over the air (runs in user space) but module microcode (like battery drain fixes) may have be done at dealer.

When the 3Q software update comes . . .
What do we really know about this update? The only thing that I've heard for certain is that the Rejuvenate thing has been promised by the end of the year. But when did EOY become Q3? And are we all just hoping that the Rejuvenate update includes a bunch of bug fixes, or is there something more certain?

Don't get me wrong. I'm really really hoping for a major software update asap. I couldn't care in the least about Rejuvenate. I just want the basic software to work as designed. Then we (and hopefully Lincoln) can think about enhancements. And besides, we're 14 days into Q3. How much longer do I have to wait??

Well guys, I had the car for about two weeks and I am at my wits end on this infotainment system. I will going back to the dealer to have them look at it. Sometimes my Amazon music works and sometimes, it cuts out every 5 seconds. Now, it will not connect to Android Auto, well briefly anyway and I have the white screen of death which a reset cleared but no connection on the calls, just media. Go figure. It's a crap shoot when I start the car on what will work. Oh well.......

See the above link that mentions 3Q OTA update for CSP.

Thank you. Let's hope there's an army of software engineers that've been hard at work coding and testing bug fixes.

Yesterday's sw glitch - no audio from music sources. Other audio like google not affected.
Reboot (and the annoying pop) fixed

I had a glitch this morning (first time in a while). I started my car and the map area on the 48" display was blank. Sirius was unable to connect...said "No signal". Now, the last time I did a reset, which was a few weeks ago, the reset completely erased all of my settings. So needless to say I was very reluctant to do one. Well, I braved it anyway and did a 10 second press with fingers and toes crossed.

Lo and behold it worked as it's supposed to and fixed my issue.

Have you tried contacting the Lincoln Concierge? They are pretty knowledgeable regarding the workings of the infotainment system and proper setup. It might be worth a call.
