Welcome mark. I have been trying to use voice commands to get around some of the software bugs.

One issue that I have is that when starting my car, it (properly) brings up CarPlay. But when trying to play native Spotify, pressing the "Play" button (center button of right-side steering wheel controls), does nothing. Spotify will not start playing. To get around that bug, I say, "Play Spotify." That works.

The next issue that I have is after shutting down the car with Auto A/C on, it turns on with the "A" shown, but with a static fan speed number that does not change automatically. To get around that bug and get the fan into auto mode, I say, "Auto Climate Control." That works.

Another issue I have is changing Drive Modes from CarPlay. I need to press the Drive Mode button two or three times to get to the Drive Mode screen. After pressing "Excite," the screen returns to the Lincoln homepage rather than CarPlay. To get around that bug, I've tried various versions of "Change Drive Mode to Excite." Each time, the system replies, "OK, Driving Modes," and then absolutely nothing happens. The screen just stays in CarPlay. So that's a fail.

fwiw, I generally press the speaker button (bottom left button of right-side steering wheel controls) rather than say, "Hey Google."

One thing I don't like with the Haptic Touch audio buttons on the right side of the steering wheel is the behavior of the left and right buttons. On all previous cars, pressing the left button would take me to the previous channel among my favorite stations. On the '24 model, pressing the left button goes to the beginning of the song track. Similarly, on the previous models, pressing the right or forward button would go to my next favorite station. Instead, the '24 goes to the next station in the SiriusXM line-up, not my next favorite station. For example, if I am listening to SiriusXM channel X, pressing the forward button does not take me to my next favorite, but channel X+1 which may be one I would never listen too, and then that station's tile replaces one of my favorite tiles that I have laboriously added to the bottom row of my favorites. Between the strange behavior of the steering wheel audio buttons and the horrible interface of the new SiriusXM 360L, it is beyond frustrating. When my 90 trial of SiriusXM is up, I won't renew, despite having been a Sirius subscriber for a long time.

This is pretty common from my experience in other vehicles. I like it. To get to the previous track, just press the left button twice, in quick succession.

The one's I have used the most are:

Hey Google, navigate to <destination>
Hey Google, navigate Home.
Hey Google, cancel navigation.
Thanks for the first commands input. I've updated the OP (original post), will continue adding and categorizing going forward.

Heh Google, navigate to any business name.
Heh Google, set temperature to 71 degrees (or whatever).
Heh Google, play FM station 100.3 (or whatever).
Heh Google, play SiriusXM channel XX seems to work all the time.
Heh Google, play SiriusXM station name seems to work sometimes but not all the time -- "Sorry I can't do that right now" or "That app is not available."

Wow, was not aware the Navigation updates only lasted a year. I will NOT pay for maps. I'll use CarPlay and Apple Maps when I need directions.

Not a fan of Google or Amazon's Alexa. I've had an Apple iPhone since the first one (still have it and keep the battery fresh) and now 14 Pro and have NEVER used Siri. My wife can't get any of them to understand her southern draw.

But I guess since this model is so buggy, I may have to get used to using it.

What do you mean by "navigation updates?" It's native Google Maps. The maps are in the cloud and the app is updated through the Google Play Store.

There are 3 subscription services that come with your car purchase. You get a “trial” period for free for each of them. The Lincoln Premium Connectivity subscription comes with a 1-year free trial period. The attached image shows what that covers. Essentially, it covers the modem communication with the AT&T cellular network. The capabilities that are mentioned in the image require communication to “the cloud“. I have not yet found the price this will cost after the trial period ends. But I would expect between $10-20 per month, with a possible price break with an annual commitment.

My bad. I re-read the thread and I thought I saw where someone said it expired. But it was Sirius XM.

I edited my post to strike through that portion. Thanks for letting me know.

For what it is worth, for this thread regarding voice commands, I just had to make a short drive and confirmed these commands:
Heh Google...
Increase/decrease the fan speed
Set the temperature to X degrees
Turn on/turn off the driver's heated seat
Turn on/turn off the driver's cooled seat
Turn on/turn off the heated steering wheel

I intend to use voice commands as much as possible as I find the touch screen requires too much attention away from driving. For the seat heating and cooling adjustments, could they have made the three teeny weeny itsy bitty indicators for the low/medium/high settings any smaller?

Frankly, I think Lincoln went too far doing away with frequently used knobs or buttons. There should be a happy medium. They should benchmark some of the low priced Hyundais and Kias. Also look at the way the new 2024 Buick Envision (also produced in China) does its 34 inch wide screen, buttons, and maps. Superior in all respects to the Nautilus in my view -- and yes with it uses the GM rendition of the Google system and at least this GM brand is keeping Apple Car Play and Android Auto.

Gen 5 RX drivers have similar preferences - many people would really like, for example, the basic climate controls to be button based, rather than buried in infotainment menus.

Back to the voice command list... I kind of expect many of the Sync 4 navigation items likely now work with Hey Google - here's a list from Lincoln: https://www.lincoln.com/support/how...ce-with-sync-with-voice-activated-navigation/

If anyone can run through trying them (maybe don't need to say Navigation?) that would fill out the Nav section a lot.

I just realized I can no longer edit the OP. If people provide more voice commands (by commenting in this thread), I'll create a new thread. The new thread Original Post will have a link to a plain text document on Google Drive that will have the latest list of commands, accessible to anyone.

Thanks for doing this. You might check out these commands. I have not verified all of them, but my experience so far seems to confirm these.

I've gotten in the habit of touching "Home" then the radio on the right side of the home screen when I begin driving, so that the radio is full screen and then the left and right audio buttons on the steering wheel move through my presets.

Does anyone know if Alexa has the same car command functionality as Google, or is it limited?

I'm having a hard time finding a voice command that brings me to the Drive Modes screen. Everything I try brings me to native Google Maps (I think it's getting hung up on the word "Drive"). Has anyone cracked the code for "Drive Modes"?

Well this is interesting. The guy gives commands to the Nautilus in Chinese. Includes open/close the sunroof and the trunk. I'll try some English equivalents tomorrow.

Update: Trying to do those things with Google Assistant results in, "Sorry, I can't control that in this car."
