2024 Lincoln Navigator has the old Blue Cruise 1.0 on it.

I'm not sure what "stupid arguments" you are referring to, but there are significant differences between 1.0 and 1.3.

  • Lane Change Assist
  • Predictive Speed Assist
  • In-Lane Repositioning

Version 1.3 helps drivers stay engaged in hands-free mode longer – including around curves and narrow lanes – up to three times longer versus version 1.2, and five times longer than version 1.0.

Stupid arguments… it works, just need to not block sensor (ie dont put ur hands between 11 and 1 with it active)… real question is bay is different between 1.0 and 1.3, in software typically nothing.

We have this navigator because it’s a beast in the deep snow, quiet, slightly unique, won’t leave one stranded, and pretty safe.

It is really easy to find the 2024 Navigator Order Guide online. It clearly shows that the 2024s are equipped with Blue Cruise 1.0. Or, of course, one could ask the salesperson/manager which version it would have if that is important to you.
I asked the salesman; he told me it’s the latest version; I believed him. Why would your top of the line car have old Technology?

I'd like to think that all of the models are top of the line if maximally equipped so I think the bigger picture question is will any of our vehicles ever be updated or are we stuck with the original as configured / shipped. I'm beginning to assume the latter, a huge disappointment.

Version 1.2 has been shipping for a year, 1.3 for 6 months (did 1.1 ever ship?) and I've seen no online claims that anyone has been updated.

Why could this be other than if a hardware problem precludes updates?

My guess, the Navigators platform is too old to handle the updates to blue cruise.

Well, I would say to is subjective to call Hands Free driving old technology, but I get your meaning. I look forward to the updated version. @dlcorbett, the 2022 Navigators with the OTA updates were touted to be able to handle new versions of AG/BC with ease. I would expect them to eventually be updated.

I remember this. Serving is they haven't released the update is actually why I believe the platform is too old. They probably tried to test the update and for whatever reasons, it was deemed not worth or not safe enough to release. I could be wrong, and ford hasn't said why they haven't released updates, and my other theory paints ford in a bad light, so I'm stick to this one lol.

I hear ya. I hope 1.2 is pushed to our vehicles.

It sure would be nice if Lincoln/Ford would be kind enough to at least set customer expectations whether we will see an upgrade or not.

Good grief, how tough is it to be forthcoming with customers?

It seems to me that 1.0 does everything 1.3 does.. just labeled differently.
Certainly has LCA, ACC, ACL…. The real difference seems to be the time between disconnects which I translate to mean the mapping of the highway. Not sure what the new features are..

I would expect a new version to refine features, like how it holds position in the lane. In BC 1.0 mine will ping-pong left and right locating the lines instead of driving straight in the middle of the lines. It is bad enough I don’t use BC anymore.

Our 2024 doesn't ping-pong. The speed regulation isn't half bad either.

Lane change is a bit of a pain. There are also a fair number of drop-outs. And lane positioning away from other vehicles would be really nice.

Bottom line, I'd really like to get an upgrade without having to buy a new car to get it!

I was told by the dealership the Navigator will be getting the 1.3 version soon. All the ford Trucks and full size SUV’s have 1.0.

That would sure be nice! No offence toward your dealer, but...

As dlcorbet suggested, I'm not going to count on it.

I truly hope I'm wrong!

This explains the new features in a little more detail:
  • BlueCruise v1.2 features:
    • Lane Change Assist (change lanes with a tap of the turn signal)
      • Now I don't have to disengage BC every time I want to change lanes
    • Predictive Speed Assist (adjust vehicle speed for road curves, roundabouts and more)
    • In-Lane Repositioning (helps hands-free highway driving feel more natural by keeping the vehicle in its lane while subtly shifting its position away from vehicles in adjacent lanes, especially large semi trucks)
      • There are times where BC has me VERY close to vehicles in the adjacent lane. This will keep my vehicle at a safer distance(and keep my wife from freaking out)
  • BlueCruise v1.3 features:
    • Fewer disengagements through curves and narrow lanes
      • BC should be able to handle curves on a Freeway better IMO. There are a handful of curves in my area where it will always disengage which is a little annoying

I just did a 5 hour drive. Today, I noticed it said that BlueCruise was active, not ActiveGlide. I had an OTA update the other day. Not sure if that is when the name changed on my vehicle. I am still hopeful the updated versions will appear sometime.

Can you please post your current version number? I see you have a 2022 Black Label. I have a 2022 Reserve and I haven't received an OTA since November 2023. I'm currently on SYNC 4 Version 23202 Revision 956

Just bought the new Navigator. It doesn’t have the latest version of Blue Cruise on it. It has the 1.0 version; no lane change assist or active road read function the other, lesser models have. The. Salesman assured me it has latest version of blue cruise. Does anyone with a Navigator have Blue Cruise 1.2?
I have a reserved 2, it has 1.2. I test it on the expressway in Chicago, worked great, keep distance, changed lane, keep speed as needee

Lincoln/ford never released bluecruise updates or installed the software on the nav. At this point, it's safe to assume, the nav won't get any new version of it until the refresh comes out later this year.
LOL at you believing a salesman and not looking at the window sticker that says BlueCruise 1.0.
