My Lincoln
2024 Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid
Just spent an hour in an online chat with Lincoln to no avail. My car has lost network connectivity, with the Network & Internet menu not even appearing in Settings. I can get to it by going to Hotspot, which tells me I need to enable network connectivity, but when it takes me to the N&I menu the only option is Wi-fi and its greyed out. Lincoln had me do a system restart by holding down the volume button with no effect, and then we attempted to do a factory reset, which did absolutely nothing - all profiles, apps and settings remained. Lincoln directed me to take it back for service. Has anybody found a solution? Is there another way to reset the modem/system? Weather has not updated since April 2nd, so this doesn't seem to be getting fixed on its own. Thanks!

I know that this may sound crazy, but let the car go to sleep. Shut it down, lock it, get your keyfobs and phone (if you use Phone As Key) well away from the car and leave it overnight. It may wake up in the morning fresh and good as new.

Sometimes what @hinckley said works. Let the car shut down and walk away from it. When it reboots in the morning or a few hours later sometimes that works. It does sound like something happened to the modem though. Be sure to post back the eventual outcome and fix to help others.

I will let you know!

Wow! I had a very similar issue my 2 week old Nautilus FHEV had already spent a day at the dealer with a 12 item list. Which they came back to me and said it's a config issue and will have their expert sit with me an hour later I had showed him a few things he had not known and I learned how to use Android Auto more efficiently from him we are now txt buddies. At the end he concluded the software issues will only be resolved with an update which is not yet available in Canada. I am rambling and can probably continue for pages but will stop.

So similar to you all connectivity in my car stopped as I was driving somewhere using NAV. Google and Waze did not work and engine light was on

Called dealer they said I can only come in Monday they have no loaners and that the 2024 Nautilus's aren't eligible for Concierge service. I then called Lincoln support 30 minutes on the phone he was able to tell me I had many error codes showing up on their end and the modem was disabled and I need to turn it on. I asked where? as I can no longer find the setting. Well the setting following Display setting had completely disappeared had to send them a pic to prove it. He concluded I need to go to the dealer and they need to do a software update that doesn't exist in Canada and there are some safety concerns as well. The one good thing is he told me the Dealer has no idea what they are talking about and I do have Concierge service he offered to find a better dealer for me.

Drove home, was out at night with the car, still no connectivity. This morning same thing. Late afternoon headed out and everything was back to normal all connectivity and Nav and the setting miraculously re-appeared however I can no longer scroll through my saved radio favorites the steering button does nothing.

The car is going to the dealer but am not sure if that even makes sense at this point until the update is Available

I am in the U.S., but I do not have high hopes our dealers here would have any better idea of how to reset the modem!

The weird thing is how does something like this happen, menu item disappears and then restores on its own and everything back to normal. I thought maybe I received an update but logs don't show it.

Outside of the software I do love the car may take 6 months plus to resolve these issues but I knew I was getting into Guinea Pig mode the moment I ordered the car.

Sorry about your issues. Just curious, does your car have the 24B09 update?

I'm not certain - the car is unable to check for the latest software update status in its current state. The car was purchased 3/18 and had just arrived at the dealer; based on the current hold, I would assume no.

Hi Doorman, can you share what kind of things the car spent a day at the dealers for From your 12 item list? I will be picking up a car next week and want to be prepared. Thanks!

Werhand, sounds like letting the car go to sleep didn't solve your problem. Sorry to hear that. :(

I don't think it's possible to know from the car's system whether the update has been installed, so I called the service department and they told me they installed 24B09 prior to my 3/20 delivery.

Most of the issues have been flagged in various threads. The ones I havent seen posted elsewhere:
I had a door sensor issue need to slam the door to show locked for both driver and passenger it was fixed by the dealer and I was told it may reoccur as the doors are heavy (Great!).
I also set Alexa as my main assistant and it switched back to Google a few days later.
SMS message alerts would not pop up, I was told they don't when running Android Auto not sure if this is accurate seems more intermittent.

Take a look at this Thread 'User Software Bug List for Lincoln's Engineers' User Software Bug List for Lincoln's Engineers

Had same issue 3 weeks ago. Came out in morning and everything was ok

Thanks, I'll be stopping in at the dealer on Tuesday and will let you know what I hear. By then the issue will be about a week old. Thankfully it doesn't impact.the driving experience!

24 Black Label loaded with hybrid. 84k total with taxes. Screens went blank before getting it off the lot. Service got them working again but not off to a good start. Ride has been smooth. Mileage good as advertised. Took on a road trip to Florida and it was a mess. Nav screen disappeared then eventually reappeared. Pedestrian sensor alert cam on saying to service now and all sound in the vehicle went out. No music at all. No Xm, radio, or Bluetooth. Nothing. It would come on periodically during the trip and then go back out. Then turned on massage seats and they wouldn’t turn off. Would pull the car over and turn off the engine and restart. Didn’t work. Finally everything began to work again at a rest stop. Brake coach display came on and wouldn’t go off the screen. Finally turned it off in settings. Came back one more time but has since disappeared. On one ride seat belt indicator stayed on screen for the entire trip but resolved next time it started. Simply put, I’ve got an 85k mess on my hands that I regret buying and now feel like I’m going to end up putting about 50k miles on a Corsair loaner before I come close to unloading this thing without taking a massive hit. This was my first Lincoln. Never again.

I got my Customer Satisfaction Program 2B409 letter about two weeks ago. States the update can be done OTA or at the dealer but expect a full day. My car is parked in the garage with wifi connection all night long and automatic updates activated. My understanding is the car does not need to be running as the modem is always active in order to receive commands from the LincolnWay app. The Lincoln support web site makes this clear but all the information is for Sync 3 and 4 and has still not been updated for the crappy Google system. Received one minor OTA update several weeks ago. So far no big OTA update for 2B409 so far. My dealer is nearly 50 miles away and don't won't to waste at least a full day or more. Has anyone successfully gotten the 2B409 update with OTA or at the dealer, and most important, have you noticed any differences or improvements? I've been lucky in two months of ownership with no software glitches at all other than the multitude of poor software design and user interface issues of the Google Automotive OS, and don't want to risk making the system less reliable.

when you login to Lincoln and find your vehicle, do you not see a list of Recalls and Customer Satisfaction programs?

Wouldn’t 2B409 be listed here if your vehicle needed it? This is what it looks like for my 2017 MKZ.

Mine currently lists no recalls or customer sat programs, but not sure if they installed 2B409 before I took delivery.

Oh don’t you worry. The dealers don’t update anything even if you tell them lol. I’ve told them every car…..make sure sync has the current version. Every one…..not done and I had to do it

I would assume that the update has been applied. Let’s hope the issue you are seeing is not caused by the update. I pick up my new Nautilus tomorrow and I added the VIN to Lincoln.com and it shows the update is needed. See attachment
