2024 delivery schedule

How long was everyone’s car in Portland? I’m getting impatient- going on 5 weeks!

I would guess your vehicle has not been sitting for 5 weeks in Portland...maybe but doubt it. As others have suggested get your dealer to print you a vin view. Should show where your vehicle is at currently.

Thanks agogley. That is very useful information. You mentioned it took 21 days from « Departed pickup » status until you received your car. The car I am tracking to Houston has reached this status. Where are you located that took 21 days? Thanks.

I am in Florida. Once it "departed pickup - UP Portland Barn" it took 10 days to arrive at the Kansas City Interchange where it was transferred from BNSF to Norfolk Southern. Then about a week to the dropoff in Jacksonville.

In your case, Houston is Union Pacific and BNSF so there may not be any transfer necessary. Nonetheless, I would anticipate that once you see the car moving on the rail lines you should be looking at around 20 days to delivery. (although I have no idea if your car will be unloaded in Houston or some other city in Texas).

My dealer was actually kind of helpful this time and said that VinView shows 5/14 to 5/18 for dealer delivery (after yesterday's Portland arrival). We'll see if that plays out as accurate.

Based on everybody's reports here and in the FB group, that date range is certainly possible. Some people have gotten their cars in that timeframe. But most people see 20-30 days (or more) before it is loaded onto a railcar and then another 20 days from that date until delivery. If your car arrived yesterday in Portland, I would anticipate a delivery timeframe of the week of May 19th or May 26th.

My car was delivered to me in Feb 29th. @Lars5457 who lives a couple hours from me and whose car was on the same ship, didn't receive his car until a month later.

I thought Amazon Prime was slow. I think Amazon Prime is 1-2 day delivery. I typically receive my Amazon Prime shipments in 5-6 days.

So if my car ever gets scheduled for build I guess it will be another 6 months to get it to Florida.

Maybe. It all depends on how long it takes to get your car scheduled and built. I think my car was built on Nov 25th and delivered on Feb 29th. So that was 3 months. So it is possible you'd order and have your car in 4. But at this point...it might just be faster to see if something is built or already shipped that meets your specifications.

Neptune Barcelona dropped off 1,500 Nautilus vehicles on Friday, 4/6.

I wonder how these work?
The same as every other Nautilus. They'll apply any software updates but other than that the car will be exactly the same as the first ones that rolled off the line.

Whoa, there fella. I don't think You're going to get on a rail car the day after the ship docks.

Even though the ship docked yesterday, the date change occurs when the vehicle is physically scanned. That's usually the day it's unloaded, but isn't always that day. I've certainly seen it scanned before it gets unloaded.

The only thing you should assume is that your vehicle is being unloaded on or around 4/4. We'll be able to tell exactly which day it was by looking at the import records.

Now comes the wait for the rail car. As @agogley has noted, each car goes through 'work started' and 'work completed' events during this period. We're not sure what that work is, but while it will not impact your Last updated date, it will delay getting onto that rail car.

I'd have to go through this thread to look at my posts again to determine which status from VinView triggered a last update field change on the Lincoln customer site. There was an issue with our ship because it anchored then it was moved to the berth then unloaded. Then it wasn't unloaded immediately as far as we can tell. We discussed all these events in detail at the time but I'm not going to invest the time to go through it again now. Maybe some other time,. But here is what my Vinview has.

1/17/2024 - "Vessel Arrived at Port of Discharge" (Portland)
1/19/2024 - "Vessel Estimated Time of Arrival" (this was change due to ship being anchored)
1/19/2024 - "Vessel Arrived at Port of Discharge"
1/19/2024 - "Full Container Discharged at Port of Discharge"
1/22/2024 - "Vehicle Received"
1/22/2024 - "Work Started" (none of us knows what this work is but if you research many manufacturers add final trip, etc. at the receiving facilities)
02/02/2024 - "Work Completed"
02/8/2024 - "Compound exit"
02/8/2024 - "Arrived for pickup - UP Portland Barn" (UP is Union Pacific but the berth is serviced by BNSF)
02/8/2024 - "VIN Loaded on railcar." (This is BNSF)
02/08/2024 - "Departed Pickup - UP Portland"
02/18/2024 - "Interchange Arrived" (Kansas City)
02/18/2024 - Interchange complete (transfer from BNSF to NS)
02/24/2024 - "Arrived" (Jacksonville - this is railcar delivery location for Florida)
02/24/2024 - "Arrived for delivery - Ford"
02/25/2025 - Actual Trip Leg Departed Destination (This is a train entry)
02/25/2025 - "Arrived"
02/25/2025 - "Railcar spotted"
02/25/2025 - "VIN Unloaded from Railcar"
02/25/2024 - Vehicle Received
02/26/2024 - "Arrived for Pickup - Jacksonville"
02/28/2024 - "Departed" (carrier metrologistics - this appears to be the trucking logistics company)
02/29/2024 - "Delivered" (to dealer but I also picked it up this day).

But here is what my Vinview has.
Wow, those dates are crazy. It took almost three weeks to get from the ship to the railcar. The last car that I ordered arrived from Europe in Brunswick, GA (about a five hour drive to my dealer) on a Tuesday morning. I took delivery of the car two and a half days later, on Thursday night.

My car updated today to Final Prep. Does that mean it’s at the dealer??

There are those who are worse than mine. Some waited much longer.

Should mean your car is at the dealer and undergoing inspection, wash, etc.

Reading in the Maverick forum, a members Maverick has been sitting in the Chicago rail yard for 8 weeks. Apparently this is not where one wants their vehicle to go through.

My 2023 Aviator sat there for several months waiting for the rearview camera fix. Of the over 9,000 vehicles sitting there, 5,000 were Aviators.

Hi Dave . Have you tracked your vehicle? I am wondering where you are in the process. I ordered mine June 6, and it just went in to production today, Oct 19. Curious to see how long it takes to ship after it is built.
I would like to hear back on your timeline breakdown when your 2024 Nautilus was delivered. I have ordered one myself too. Just trying to figure out when I’ll get mine.

Thank you

When did it ship on your vehicle order status?

Tracking Page says April 16th. even though today is the 15th
It's the 16th in China.

I'm not sure where Lincoln is getting your ETA. That obviously doesn't make sense. The VOS ship date is the date it leaves the factory gate. You've got at least 2 and probably 3 months to go I'd guess.

That's crappy, but still excited

How long does it take to leave port in China Vinview says it was Loaded on the 16th of April

The Nautilus I had previously agreed to buy from dealer stock finally arrived today at the dealership. It took two months from arrival in Portland to the dealership.
