GTIs yours a reserve or GT?
My 2020 lease comes up in June. I guess I will not be getting a new Corsair until 2024, or maybe I should consider a Lexus or German small crossover?Sorry if this is a repeat of prior communication from you Forum'ers but I think the content is slightly different.

2023 LINCOLN CORSAIR PRODUCTION REMAINS CONSTRAINED

The refreshed 2023 Ford Escape and Lincoln Corsair were revealed last fall, with deliveries expected to begin in early 2023 – at that time, at least. However, in February, Ford paused Escape and Corsair production after discovering a quality issue that we later learned was software-related, and that shutdown was eventually extended all the way into March. Turns out, the problem was traced back to the instrument cluster, and a re-flash corrected it, allowing The Blue Oval to resume production with no further issues, as the automaker revealed in its latest sales report. However, there is a major discrepancy in terms of how many Escape crossovers FoMoCo built versus the total number of 2023 Lincoln Corsair models that have come off the assembly line thus far.
As Ford Authority reported yesterday, after building just 494 2023 Ford Escape models in February, the automaker managed to ramp that number up to 11,771 units in March, which is a significant jump by any measure. However, it’s worth noting that The Blue Oval only assembled 159 Lincoln Corsaircrossovers at the same plant over the same time span, as the Escape’s more luxurious brethren was also facing the same software-related issue. It’s unclear why that’s the case, but it’s notable, regardless.
When added to the 366 Corsair crossovers that came off the line in January, along with the fact that none were produced in February, this means that just 525 units have been produced in total this year – a drop in the pan compared to the 16,166 Escape crossovers that have been built over that same time period.
There are many reasons why this could be the case, including demand – it’s possible that Ford has secured far more orders for the refreshed Escape than the Corsair or is prioritizing production of one over the other, which is why it’s focusing on that particular model. For now, at least, the reasoning behind this discrepancy is unclear, however.
We’ll have more on Corsair production soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Lincoln Corsair news and continuous Ford news coverage.
pretty sure leases can be extended monthly up to 6 months. Includes additional mileage. Check with dealerMy 2020 lease comes up in June. I guess I will not be getting a new Corsair until 2024, or maybe I should consider a Lexus or German small crossover?
Depends. Is your 2020 lease on a Lincoln? My 2020 lease comes up in June. I guess I will not be getting a new Corsair until 2024, or maybe I should consider a Lexus or German small crossover?
Just FYI, when I ordered my 2021 Nautilus, I had to take 2 two month extensions of the lease on my 2018 MKZ due to COVID-related shutdowns, supply constraints, etc. When I called the Lincoln Finance folks and explained what I wanted to do, they were very helpful in extending the lease. They said I could get however much additional time as was needed until my new car arrived. The monthly cost was the same for the extension, and they just extended the mileage, which was very fair and worked out for me.pretty sure leases can be extended monthly up to 6 months. Includes additional mileage. Check with dealer
My Corsair Standard has been in production since 3/28 maybe all the new in productions will push mine out to built. But this is great news we are all movin and groovin.Don’t jinx it!
Order date?My Corsair Reserve is officially in production.
My dealer printed out a price sheet with the A/Z, D, and X pricing versus the MSRP. For my GT it shows a savings of $3,451 for the X plan.Over the last few days the X-plan pricing is now available on the Ford Partner website. So I finally know how much I am going to pay for my Corsair that was ordered back in October, assuming it actually gets built and shipped. About $2000 under MSRP for a fully loaded Reserve...I guess that is not too bad in these times.
First of all, thanks for sharing. That is more in-line with what I expected on my GT order. But, the funny thing on this forum is how inconsistent our experiences are from dealer to dealer. My salesman who really seemed to know his stuff, insisted that he would not be able to give me exact X plan pricing until my invoice was created. He told me he should be able to pull that after the VIN is assigned (or maybe the window sticker is available. It was 7 months ago when he told me this!)My dealer printed out a price sheet with the A/Z, D, and X pricing versus the MSRP. For my GT it shows a savings of $3,451 for the X plan.
Ford Motor has had only one real CEO in 20 plus years. Alan Mulally.![]()
What Happened to Lincoln?
Ford's luxury brand feels lost in the wilderness right now, with EV development way behind and sales near record lows How did we get here?www.thedrive.com
Sounds like your dealer may have hijacked your original order or is simply copying your original order to get more stock. In any case, I'd be on the blower to your sales manager.Okay. I got a weird email this morning:
Your Lincoln vehicle is scheduled for production.
Hello, Arteest,
We’re happy to inform you that your 2023 Corsair Grand Touring has been scheduled for production. The production process is estimated to begin the week of June 5, 2023.
The link in the new email took me to the Lincoln order tracking status page, and it showed my vehicle with the correct dealership, exterior, interior, options, etc. ... BUT it now has a completely different order number and completely different VIN and it's back to Step 1 (of 5) Order Confirmed...
If I go to the Lincoln Order Tracking Status page and enter my old order number and my old VIN, my 2023 Corsair GT comes up at Step 2 (of 5) Scheduled Week Of April 17.
Good Grief! Has this happened to anyone else?
For what it's worth, neither of my two order/VINs has a Window Sticker.
Well kinda...I ordered a Reserve for my wife. Received a vin and window sticker long ago. Email dated April 5th shoes in production bubble populated and a build date of April 4th.Okay. I got a weird email this morning:
