2023 Corsair orders, build dates

My dealer just texted me that my 2023 Corsair Standard which was ordered 9 /27 /22 build date 4/ 5/23 which went into production 3/28 /23 is now in the vendor view list with an ETA of 5/1/23 at the dealership. My build was priority 2 and order number k487 so maybe this is a way to make sense of all this madness and yes Olderbudweiser I will believe all this when I am driving off the lot in my vehicle I ordered. Just offering some hope and stokin the excitement train.

I noticed that a local Lincoln dealer's 2023 Corsair status had changed from in transit to in stock. On contacting the dealer I was assured that not only did they have no 2023 stock but he expressed certainty that no one in the nation yet did.

Not clear if he meant just me personally or anyone but he indicated that deliveries would not be until summer. I've been estimating July 1 for my GT (assuming from built to actual delivery probably at least an additional month) so I expect he's correct.

Hi gang. For what it is worth: I was at my Lincoln Dealership yesterday for an oil change/tire rotation etc. I asked my Salesperson if they had any 2023 Corsairs in stock yet (they had one "Like New" 2022 Corsair on the showroom floor). He said they had none in stock yet, that he is waiting on 6 customer orders of his own, and with production only beginning to ramp up now and scheduling constraints, he was not expecting any to actually arrive until sometime into May.

He is normally a no BS kind of guy and reliable for general information. So again, for what it is worth.

Hope you all get your Corsairs as soon as possible and good luck.

It's crazy how different the Whisper Blue color looks in person compared to the renderings on the website:



I have no idea why they used nighttime lighting. The color looks completely different. I definitely prefer the "real" whisper blue but I can imagine some buyers will be disappointed if they were expecting a much darker shade of blue.

I ordered whisper blue. I definitely wanted blue or red. I thought about the new deep red that looks almost purple in some pics. But, I didn’t want a really dark color and some pics of it look brownish. I love color. I keep going back and forth on rather I made the right choice. I did see vapor blue (same as whisper blue) on a Mach e and I liked it. I was worried it would look flat like the trend seems to be lately. But, it was very sparkly. It’s a weird color, looks different from every angle. Here are a few pics I took.

I remember back in the day dealerships had " color chips " which were big pieces of metal with the actual paint color on it. Guess I am really old.

Thats a great idea. It’s hard to commit to something this expensive without ever seeing it.

I love these kinds of things, and have been royally pranked on April 1 in the past!
Car and Driver mag usually has one very tongue-in-cheek article in their April issue every year. It often takes me 2 or 3 reads to figure out which one!
