2023 Corsair orders, build dates

New to the forum, love my old 2014 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid with 188k miles, wish they still made them. Dropping in to give my 2023 Corsair GT order status/update/experience.

Ordered mine on 9/12 (yes, the first day they could accept orders - my dealership hadn't even realized they could yet) confirmed by email on 9/13. Package/options were wrong on confirmation email, but...

12/1/22 - Received production scheduling email w/ VIN. VIN shows correct package. Production scheduled for week of 1/30/23
1/17/23 - Production date changed to 2/6/23
1/24/23 - Production date changed to 2/13/23
1/31/23 - Production date changed to 2/20/23
2/7/23 - Production date changed to 3/6/23

We shall see what news next Tuesday brings. I'm hoping since the last notice was a 2 week bump instead of the 1 week they have got the scheduling delays under control . I also know the Corsair order number, not sure if that's info to share or not.

It’s Tuesday, so I got the email today.

2/14/23 - Production date changed to 3/13/23

🤣🤣
 
I watch this thread and see how the vehicles ordered by you guys just keep getting pushed back further and further. I honestly don’t know if it was me if I could be as patient as some of you have been ! It’s frustrating just watching this let alone having had ordered one ! My hat is off to you guys !

Oddly my Reserve was moved up. From first week of March to last week of February. I'll take it. Of course until it's built and delivered being rescheduled is a real possibility.
 
My 2023 Corsair Reserve order was placed at the end of September, 2022. I have received a VIN and window sticker, but have been getting a weekly email that keeps pushing back the production date. I searched dealer inventory at all of the large Detroit dealers and all show their 2023 inventory of Corsairs as "In-Transit" My salesperson pal says that he has heard that they are holding all produced Corsairs for a pre-shipment quality check.. In the meantime, I keep extending the lease on my 2020 Standard trim for a month at a time. which is actually a great vehicle with only a $20k buyout price.

Uh Oh ...just checked the Lincoln vehicle tracker. On Tuesday is reflected a build week of Feb 27th. Now that spot is blank....UGH. Nothing, no date at all.

The tracker for my order also changed build week to blank. I extended my 2020 lease for another month.
 
The first person to get a status of "Shipped" gets to be the guest of honor at our virtual celebration party 🎉
 
Hoping this goes smoothly, software fixes. But normally there is a team, numbers unknown. Team says we are done...little beta test all good. Team members are split up and sent to new endeavors.

Then the oops shows up. How to get the code writers back while in the middle of a new project. New area will not play nice, as their project is what is important to them.

Squabble squabble squabble up the chain of command it goes for a decision.
 
I talked to my dealer yesterday about this when I dropped my Corsair for service. He said he’s seen orders cancelled and re created with the next model year lol. Hope no one has to wait that long !

As mentioned earlier, my Feb 2022 GT order went into Jan 2023 before being delivered. I rejected delivery and ordered a 2023 GT in Sept. 2022. I wont be waiting 11 months for this one, maybe 6 months and then my fingers will be doing the walking.

Fingers crossed ! Maybe they realized parts and reliability were slipping. Hopefully they put things on pause to correct that. I’m seeing a lot of small but pita problems cropping up here. Sensors, modules etc etc. even me. I had a bad wheel speed sensor. Now a seat control module probably. I got this car with the hopes of visiting the dealer only for oil changes tires and brakes for like 100,000 miles

Same thing happens to me so I called concierge and they said the build date is being pushed back again. I ordered in October
 
Just looked at Lincoln.com, Track my vehicle.
From week of Feb 27th, To blank, and Now Week of March 13, 2022.

Progress.....
 
If you haven't seen the news, the Louisville Assembly Plant will continue to be idle through at least February 24th. Here's a link to an article about this, but I wasn't able to read the entire story because I'm not an Automotive News subscriber:

The plant will be closed through Feb. 24, according to a notice to employees confirmed by Ford.
