2023 Corsair orders, build dates

New to the forum, love my old 2014 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid with 188k miles, wish they still made them. Dropping in to give my 2023 Corsair GT order status/update/experience.

Ordered mine on 9/12 (yes, the first day they could accept orders - my dealership hadn't even realized they could yet) confirmed by email on 9/13. Package/options were wrong on confirmation email, but...

12/1/22 - Received production scheduling email w/ VIN. VIN shows correct package. Production scheduled for week of 1/30/23
1/17/23 - Production date changed to 2/6/23
1/24/23 - Production date changed to 2/13/23
1/31/23 - Production date changed to 2/20/23
2/7/23 - Production date changed to 3/6/23

We shall see what news next Tuesday brings. I'm hoping since the last notice was a 2 week bump instead of the 1 week they have got the scheduling delays under control . I also know the Corsair order number, not sure if that's info to share or not.

Concerning the "Package/options were wrong on confirmation email...". You don't mention whether you contacted the Dealership and had it corrected? Hopefully you did and received a confirmation on the changes?

And concerning sharing "the Corsair order number". Do you mean your order number? If yes...there is no reason to share that.

Well that sucks ! You were one of the first orders and still no GT Hope it comes soon !

It does, and it doesn't. Knowing there were a bunch of 22 orders which got bumped to 23s, it would explain the mid-3 figure order number I got on day 1.

Shortly after ordering we had to make a significant life/family decision to move, which happened about 45 days later. Moving in that brief of a timeframe is...expensive. Long story, involved selling 2 properties and buying 1, with all 3 closings happening on 10/31. Only way to solve problems which inevitably arise in a move with that short notice is to throw money at it, so I can't say my checkbook minds the extra breathing room.

Sometimes, you gotta just hold on to the ride life gives you.

I contacted them immediately and they ensured it was correct in the order on their end. I called concierge to verify and they couldn't help at all. Once I got the VIN I was able to see the order was correct.

The order number is on top of your DORA includes dealer code as well. Dealer should have sent you home with one. It lists vehicle you ordered, options, packages, also has code for price structure. If there are price increases you will pay pricing at time of order.

Anyway, DORA stands for “Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement”. It was essentially a commitment Ford made to the dealer that the order would be built exactly how it was printed on the sheet.

I ordered a reserve last September. In November, it was given a January 9 build date. Every week it gets bumped another week. Yesterday it was bumped and is now March 3. Not so happy here. This weekly bump is just getting old.

nah...date/no date...it's all the same. we're both in line and don't know how long the line is or where we fall in that line.

That's interesting. Since you wrote that you didn't get an email notification, where did you look it up to find the March 2 date?

Of course, you already have a Window Sticker for your Corsair Reserve, so maybe you have another level of detail that the rest of us don't.

Just checked order tracking and noticed the production date for my wife's 2023 Corsair Reserve has changed from February 27 (a Monday) to March 1 (a Wednesday). I suspect this means that production is now scheduled to the day: Wednesday, March 1.

For those of you asking where to find the latest production "guess" for your 2023 Corsair, here's a link to Lincoln's order-tracking website where you can enter your Order Number and VIN to determine latest status:

I am still not sure how to check status online. What field on the DORA is the order number? The order code is only 4 digits. The website I found is asking for a VIN.

The Order Code is four characters in length. Typically, it's an upper-case letter followed by three digits. The VIN is assigned when your 2023 is first scheduled for production. You should receive your VIN via e-mail message from Lincoln Motor Company or your dealership can provide the VIN to you.

I definitely have the order code, but the website I found (https://shop.lincoln.com/vehicle-order-tracking/) asks for "Order Number" and VIN. Clearly a VIN has not been assigned, but when it is, are you saying that the Order Code is actually the Order Number?

Yes. Order Code and Order Number are one and the same. (The Lincoln order-tracking website uses different language just to confuse us.)

I have an Order Code from my dealer, but 3 months later and so far still no VIN. This has gotten beyond ridiculous. The first person in this thread to actually take delivery of a '23 deserves some kind of gift or cash prize!

They should sell it above sticker price lol. Then keep the tax credit if it’s hybrid rlmao. I will say my 2022 Corsair that I got off the lot in October 22 was built sep 22. I’m wondering if the 23 is going to end up the same way. Getting cars late in the year that were just built.
