2023 Corsair orders, build dates

just out of curiosity, how does one get on these email lists regarding order status? I tried calling the Concierge and all they were able to do is look up the VIN and say "yup your order is processing" couldn't even give expected build date. Wasn't much help at all. My dealership did send me an email a few weeks ago with my order # and VIN and said (at the time) that production date for mine would be the week of 2/20.
Im just not sure if that is still the case? When I try to track on the website its stuck on #1 order processing and when I click on window sticker it says to check back later. Any other insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hi gtw. Have your Dealership register you with Lincoln for the order processing email list. Don't be surprised if the salesperson pretends they have no idea what you are talking about. In that case, speak to the Sales Manager and hope for the best.
Also, did you specifically ask the Lincoln Concierge if they can register you for the production emails?

As far as what you are seeing on the tracking website: Short answer/insight would generally be that you are getting the latest information available, for better or worse. Your order is in processing and it is too early for a window sticker to be available.

The unfortunate reality right now is that parts and commodity shortages are affecting all production for all automakers. Therefore, everything is a mess.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

Yes agreed. It’s everywhere. Everything and no one wants to work since the pandemic and they all blame supply shortages etc etc etc. even the doctors office don’t want to work anymore. People got spoiled working from home. Short work weeks. Money from the government. Extended unemployment. Me I’ll die working. It’s what I do. Old school morals values and work ethics !

Ok I see the fine print. Thanks.

Now more bad news. I see the 2023 Corsair GT may not qualify for the $7,500 tax credit unless it costs less than $55,000. That leaves me out.
I changed from options package 2 to the standard GT options on my 2023 Corsair GT order so that I would qualify for the tax credit. The destination charge doesn’t count toward the MSRP cap according to the IRS website, so I was just under the $55,000 cap on my order.

Hello,
Just a quick update. After ordering a Reserve early September on the morning the order banks opened, all I have received was an email thanking me for my order and one in early December stating that due to supply constraints..... Blah blah blah. That's it! Dealer has been no help. Concierge no help. I have no vin. No date. Nothing. I will give Lincoln until the end of February to at least provide me a build date. If not I will be cancelling my order and going elsewhere. Highly disappointed in the company itself and it's lack of information. I do not blame the dealership or the Concierge as they only can provide the information, or lack there of, provided to them. One day they will actually be asking for our business again and have to work for it. There's my rant! Ha!

Same boat as you. Ordered a Reserve in Oct., got a confirmation e-mail from Lincoln on 11/10 saying my order has been received and since then NOTHING. My dealer (who is actually really helpful) can't find out anything and he is frustrated too.

I'm considering other options as well if I don't hear something soon.

I haven’t looked because I have my 2022 Corsair. But I wonder if there’s any deals to be had on the 2022’s left on the lot ?

I am finding locally that Mercedes, Acura, and Audi have similar sized vehicles on their lot or incoming that are not spoken for. I have had some initial conversations and it does not look like they are having the level of constraints Lincoln is suffering from. When I ordered my Lincoln I was told to expect 8-12 weeks until I receive a build date. I am now double that. If they kept me in the loop more and gave me a reason to hope I might stick around. Their lack of transparency and information is what is so frustrating. I am looking for minimal effort and receiving less than that. Countdown is on for my loyalty to this brand.

For what it's worth, my 2023 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring order was reset to Priority 2 by the Lincoln Regional Manager — it had been Priority 16 — and my build week is currently February 27. The VIN, the Priority Reset, and the Build Week were all revealed within one message from the Lincoln Concierge this past Thursday (January 12).
Arteest....Talk about confusion. I'm in almost the same situation you were in. I have a 2016 MKX and ordered a '22 GT in Feb 2022. I also ordered a '23 GT in Sept of 2022 when it became apparent that the '22 would not be delivered in the '22 calendar year. I canceled the '22 on Jan 3, 2023 because I head South for 2 months. It apparently finally was delivered Jan 6th, I was already gone. Today I contacted Lincoln Concierge to see if they have any info or can give me a Priority #. They say they have no control over seeing the Priority info or moving the # to a higher priority. Frustrating. I reluctantly may have to start looking at other options (manufacturers) to cover me wanting new wheels.

Reading from this post messages sounds like no one has received their 23 Corsair, my wife ordered hers the 2nd day order banks open. We have received VIN and window sticker but have had build date changed 3 times. Frustrating but at least we have been receiving information unlike what I have been reading here.

I thought the first build date for '23s was Dec. 12 so you would think at least a few people would have received a '23 model by now. What in the world is going on with the production of these things?

My 2022 model ordered in Feb 2022 was finally delivered to the dealer Jan 6th 2023! Of course thats the one I wouldn't accept since it took so long and went into 2023. It was a full model year old!

What is your build date now and what was it originally?

Hi Vlincoln. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. However, the number of in-stock models sitting on the lot, versus factory orders, are two very different situations. In that case, if another brand you are interested in has an in-stock model you want, that will be great.

However...if you still plan on factory ordering, my advice would be to actually go into the Dealership, speak to the Sales Manager, and ask how long the current realistic factory order wait times are, for whichever model you are interested in. And keep in mind they may stretch the truth and/or not know but wing it. After all, it is not a shock to state that is what some/many Salespeople do. 🙃

The reason I advise this? I was just at a Mercedes dealer last week with a friend who asked me to help him order/purchase a new Mercedes. He did order/purchase, but was also advised by the salesperson to expect a minimum 1 year wait (full disclosure, it was also a higher end model). And that Dealership also had plenty of in-stock models on the lot. But that did not help him at all.

The reality is there are many reasons why a Dealership can have lot of vehicles in-stock, bot good and bad. For example, is possible those in-stock models were missing features due to commodity constraints. Or the Dealership asking prices are too high, etc. etc.

The point being...It is an entirely different ballgame if you need to factory order, and how many in-stock vehicles a Dealership has in the current commodity shortage situations means nothing.

So be careful what you wish for. ;)

Keep us updated, and again, good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Hello,
Thank you very much for the reply and information. I should have been explained the situation more clearly. The options I am looking at are cars already at the dealership or cars that have been ordered and are physically on their way to the dealer. I don't believe all manufactures are having the same issues as Lincoln for this model segment. Some obviously are.
I am not interested in placing another order to wait in an endless line again. If I purchase a different vehicle I won't make the same mistake as it looks like I have with Lincoln. Please also know I want a Lincoln. I really do. I am just five months in with no end in sight and no one from the dealer or the company can provide me information. We have people on this forum who waited a year for a car. I am not that patient. Ha! Anyways thank you for taking the time to reply, much appreciated. I hope to hear good news soon, but if not I will buy something available, not an order. The local Volvo dealer has some pretty nice looking XC60's in the showroom. :)

Hi Vlincoln. You are very welcome. 🤗

Then as we were previously discussing..."In that case, if another brand you are interested in has an in-stock model you want, that will be great."

However, as far as what troubles manufacturers are having, they are all in the same boat. Which puts all of us in the same boat too. 🙃;)

Hope you can get something you like soon, whatever brand it may be. 🍻

I agree everyone is in the same "boat". Maybe just on other ends of the boat. I am going to go test drive a few brands this weekend. Acura, Mercedes, Volvo. 23's in stock to drive and potentially purchase. I am not sure I have heard of one 23 Corsair being delivered yet. Like I said I will wait until the end of February, in the meantime I am looking at backup plans. Fun to visit with you on this either way. After all, we as Lincoln purchasers are all in the same boat! I feel for all of us! Cheers! :)

Fortunaly we have a great vehicle to drive. This Corsair is for the wife. Currently have a Kia Telluride. Great vehicle. Does what members here expect active-glide to do. With cruise on negotiates highway curves hands free barley moving more than 12 inches latterly either direction.

Wife just wants something smaller.
