2023 Corsair orders, build dates

Production for my 2023 Corsair GT was suppose to start the week of January 12th.
I had put my order in on 9-14-22.
Now I just got this email from Lincoln:

"We have made an adjustment to the production date for your 2023 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring.
Your new Lincoln is now scheduled to be built the week of February 6, 2023. We will continue to keep you informed regarding your vehicle’s production status."

Supply chain issues?

My order is with a small dealer too. Vogler Ford/Lincoln in Carbondale, IL. Any way to get any info on their allocations or what kind of wait I should expect?
You can ask your dealer how many orders they have in front of you. That should give you an idea of where you are at in line.

Im right there with you my production week just changed from week of January 9th to January 30th.

Still have same window sticker with blend date of December 21, 2022. Curious if at some point that will change.

Lots of this going around. My wife's 2023 Corsair was schedule for production this week (week of Jan. 9). Last night, she received the following e-mail message from Lincoln Motor Company:

"We have made an adjustment to the production date for your 2023 Lincoln Corsair Reserve.

Your new Lincoln is now scheduled to be built the week of January 23, 2023. We will continue to keep you informed regarding your vehicle’s production status.

Thank you."

Just checked window-sticker availability again. Nothing there.

Thats strange my window sticker has been available for more than a week.. Appears we have similar timing.

I’ll bet it’s because of waiting for parts because of the seat belt recall

Hey @olderbudweiser — thank you for your posts. They're always confusing, however, because I think you have both a 2023 ICE Corsair (Reserve) and a 2023 PHEV Corsair (GT) on order. Since you don't always specify, I'm guessing that your "window sticker" comments refer the ICE Corsair Reserve. Have you received any status updates on your PHEV Corsair GT?

While I do appreciate reading your comments, could you please specify which order you're referencing when you make a post or a reply? It would really help since your situation is so unique compared to the rest of us. Thanks.

For what it's worth, I have a 2023 PHEV Corsair GT on order.

You are correct of course. My ADD kicks in often.....sorry.

Yes all my recent posts are about a Corsair Reserve. Build week moved from 1/9 to 1/30, 2023

This is the order I have a window sticker for. There is no sub delete on current window sticker.

I submitted an order for a GT, end of December. Walked out of dealer with a dora nothing since.

Job #1 was December 12th, 2022. Im not at the plant but one could assume something went down the assembly line.
My Window sticker is now available. Email has my build week starting today. January 9th, 2023
Do you remember when you ordered yours? Mine was in September and I still don't have a build date so I'm hoping to estimate mine via yours- my order was 9-21-22.

HOORAY! 🍾

I just got my VIN and a build week (February 27) for my 2023 Corsair GT. I ordered the GT in September 2022, when the order book opened. I have to give credit to the Lincoln Concierge for staying on top of this. Among other things, she got my Priority 16 moved to Priority 2.

My dealership was worthless in moving this along. It turns out that they had expended their 2022 allocation, so my September order sat in limbo until their allocations were refreshed for 2023. While the Concierge called me yesterday, I'll probably get a call (claiming credit) from the dealer on Monday or Tuesday next week.

And yes, I know my build week will probably move to something later as we get closer... supply chain issues, blah blah blah, etc. :cautious:

Hi olderbudweiser. Just regarding "blend date": People waiting patiently (or not so patiently) for their vehicles, and not intimately familiar with the various production terms and states, have built up the "blend date" to be far more important than it is.

The reality is...It is best to ignore "blend dates". Even pre-pandemic, blend dates were more of an administrative date, and not as important or indicative of a production date as people waiting for their vehicles have built it up to be in the current economy.

All of us waiting for new vehicles look for anything to grasp onto in order to feel better, and give us some sense of control. However, the blend date is simply not as important or indicative of a production date as it was 2+ years ago.

To put it another way...A "blend date" is not as closely tied to production dates as they were 2+ years ago. And the gap between the "blend date" and production date may/will vary wildly between one order to the next. Therefore, they cause more confusion than clarity.

Hope I explained that in a somewhat understandable manner.

Hope you get your Corsair soon, and good luck. 🍻

I recently became aware that I could qualify for the XPlan discount if I joined the Experimental Aircraft Association. I joined last night for $48, but I can't qualify to use their XPlan Pin until I am a member for 90 days. They give you 2 Pins each year. My Corsair GT will hopefully be delivered in February. Does anyone here have an extra Pin that they could "Friend" me so I can get the XPlan discount? Thanks, Todd

If anyone wants to use my Pins that will become available for use after April13th 2023 let me know. 425@tampabay.rr.com

Ok forget that. You have to live in our house to qualify. Sorry, not currently taking in boarders.

Hi Todd. Just as an FYI: X-Plan PINS can not be freely handed out like that. In the case of Club memberships (EAA, Mustang Club of America etc.), the only individuals who qualify for available PIN's (in this case, your 2 per year) are the Club member themself (in this case you), and any individual legally residing at the same address as you.

And by X-Plan rules, any individual using one of your PIN's must provide proof that they legally reside at the same address as you. Drivers license etc.

That being said, some dubious Dealerships do try to play fast and loose with the rules. Just don't be surprised if your Dealerships refuse to honor any PIN's you give out to others who do not reside at your address with you.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

The recall is only a sw updat
I was at my dealer Saturday for first service. Told him about the build dates being pushed back and my thoughts on seat belt recall. He said they don’t even know yet what it is. They have no further info at this time. So even if it is only a software update until they make the update it could push things back. I think someone somewhere has to make a patch or re write a program. I hope all of you guys waiting get surprised and they get done sooner 🙏

If "worthless in moving this along" refers to the change in priority, that is something only Lincoln can do. Dealers have no control over that.

Was under the impression dealers can move priority codes as they wish between 10-99. Once lower than a 10 the regional or district assigns the priority code. 2 meaning next up if all the materials are available.

Yes / No ??

I believe that dealers can change codes between 10-99 as long as the vehicle order is still unscheduled. Perhaps I misunderstood if yours was already scheduled or not.
