2023 Corsair orders, build dates

Greeting all!
New member…2022 Corsair GT.
Ordered 06/06/22 Picked up 12/15/22.
1,200 miles so far so good!

Job #1 was December 12th, 2022. Im not at the plant but one could assume something went down the assembly line.
My Window sticker is now available. Email has my build week starting today. January 9th, 2023
Thank you for the update, @olderbudweiser — it was confusing because the scheduled Job #1 date shifted a lot over the past few months.

According to the Ford FDNB (Fleet Distribution News Bulletin):
In Jun, the MY2023 (Model Year 2023) Job #1 date was 11/01/2022
In Aug, the MY2023 Job #1 date was 11/28/2022
In Oct, the MY2023 Job #1 date was 12/12/2022

If there weren't any further delays, I'm guessing ICE models (Corsair and Escape) started going down the assembly line in December. Maybe fleet sale obligations?

It was very encouraging to read your reply, @olderbudweiser — the positive signs are that you have both a VIN (final step 1) and a window sticker (final step 2) for your PHEV. The speculation was that there would be some ICE production before the PHEV production would begin.

Please keep us posted. Thanks again!

I just found this forum so new member here. I ordered a '23 Corsair Reserve on 10/31 (yes, a treat on Halloween) and received an e-mail on 11/10 from Lincoln saying my order was confirmed. Since then, not a peep and my dealer can't find out anything with regards to a build date. Just wondering if I'm at their mercy waiting for a follow up e-mail or if there's any other way to get updates. Thanks in advance!

Welcome ! You came to the right place for questions. People here that have pending orders here can help better. What I will say is read the thread about the seatbelt recall. This can possibly be affecting your order depending……

Thanks. That's definitely not the news I wanted to read. :(

Hi B, in my instance my build email with vin arrived 11/17/22 ordered on 10/7/22.
I am not sure or do I know the rules but, think dealer allocations and the zone your dealer is in nationally affects build timing.

My dealer is new, salesman told me they have been receiving 2023 ahead of schedule. His opinion. As a new dealer they want to get them inventory.

Thanks for sharing your info, olderbudweiser. Sounds like were on similar tracks.

If I may ask, what's the BLEND date printed on your window sticker? Does your window sticker show the subwoofer delete?

I show no sub delete. Although my sound system is what comes in the Reserve. My big option package is Collection 3. I din't pay attention to which sound system it comes with.

Just looked on build and price website. Collection 3 includes the Revel 14 audio system with sub. My window sticker shows no delete.

Maybe with the collection 3 option it stays????

Looked again the Collection 3 price on window sticker is the same as build and price. Makes me think the sub is there. Will find out when delivered.

Hello,
I thought I would share my experience so far. Reserve, highly optioned ordered Sept. 13 and order accepted. Follow email from Lincoln December 6th stating delays ect. Nothing since from dealer or Lincoln. Rather disappointing the lack of transparency.

Im learning your dealer has a large impact.

Thank you for the reply. This would explain it then. Small dealer so I am probably being kicked to the end of the line. I will give it another month or so and then cancel my order and move on. I don't mind waiting, if you provide me some information or at a minimum keep me in the loop. Neither of these things Lincoln is currently doing.

My order is with a small dealer too. Vogler Ford/Lincoln in Carbondale, IL. Any way to get any info on their allocations or what kind of wait I should expect?
Dealers normally guard their allocation numbers like the family jewels. It's possible you can get your dealer to look at visibility report and share. Don't hold breath.

OK, thanks. (y)

Thanks for the Blend Date info, olderbudweiser. I believe that date (12/21/2022) indicates when the assembly plant expected to have all parts on hand to build your 2023 Corsair. That was just before the year-end holiday shutdown, so I'd expect your Corsair to be built in early January.

Your Corsair's Revel 14 audio system will likely include a subwoofer. My wife's Corsair was ordered with the Reserve II Collection and that includes the Lincoln Premium Audio System -- now with subwoofer delete (Option 86E).

Regarding comments about dealership allocation, my understanding is that retail orders are exempt from allocation. In other words, dealership allocation applies only to stock orders (destined for dealer's inventory) while each and every retail order (for delivery directly to a customer) is accepted for production by Lincoln Motor Company.

That’s messed up in my opinion with the dealership allocation thing. Usually the larger dealers suck ! They cannot support or service the amount of cars they sell. My dealership in Staten Island I got ten cars from them. Not many people can say that. They did me dirty on the 11th car for a gf and then their service department can’t fix torn paper with scotch tape. But they had 203 corsairs in stock now they have like a hundred. I went to an out of state dealer to buy mine but the service department is second to none and the staff of also. Irwin Lincoln in New Jersey. Tried to get my sister to go there but she was all about the few dollars and the big dealership won with her. They didn’t even update the sync when I told her not to pick up the car if they don’t !!!!! If your dealer is small bit top notch my advice is be patient and go with them if you can. In the long run you will be happier ! I always answer the surveys honestly and told Lincoln they should model their dealerships after Irwin. When push came to shove with my MKZ that Dana Lincoln destroyed Lincoln concierge themselves paid out of pocket for Irwin to make it right. Anyone can sell a car. A trained monkey can. It’s the service after that matters !!!!!! Just my opinion and I’ve fixed cars since I’m 10 and am now 60 and also fixed tanks in the Marines ! Don’t thank me for my service I hate that. It was my job and I went in knowing it. Have a great day and good luck to everyone !
